When I opened the box I was surprised to find the press clean and ready to use - it is a really sweet little press. Not too much play in the ram and what play there was can be adjusted out with the screws. Unfortunately I made a mistake when I ordered - I needed a larger press for my application so I had to return this.However, because this press was so nice I ordered my larger press from the same company.Cute, clean, and everything as it should have been. 5 STARS.

The item showed up completely assembled and with clear signs of wear and tear, including rust and chipped paint. I gave it a try with my metal stamps and all it did was waste materials, I do not believe the issue to be lack of strength, the lever also is annoying, it won’t secure by tightening and one of the caps keeps coming off, same thing with the screw meant to tighten up the bits. This thing is a complete waste of money

It performs exactly as expected. Was able to deepen the hole in the arbor shaft to accept the fret press caul that I use. Works very well.

You CAN use this in conjunction with the Jiayouy Fret press caul. It’s actually a perfect fit in this press. the caul will need to be trimmed down, but it fits absolutely perfect, and is a very good fret press for about $120 compared to the $240 plus shipping from stewmac.You will need a neck support but that’s also only like $17.

CON: That they provided the incorrect arbor driftsThey have a neck size of 9.95mm and the mounting hole on the press accepts a 9.40mm neck. Save some money and do not purchase with the kit included.
