Perfect for 10-30 and switch feels solid; led screen is very insightful because you can compare it what your level 2 charger is telling you as well.

Easy to install and works perfectly to share the 240 outlet we use for our dryer so I can charge my car. No issues. But do yourself a favor and get some better quality wall anchors to hang it on the wall.

I’ve been using this for a few months to change from drier to charger power, and it’s been flawless. Just a big dumb switch, with a breaker built in. This made it so I could install a fast charger by myself, would buy again in a second.

The cord was not long enough to install from behind the dryer.. light weight and come with cheap mounting screen. Over price.

I just made a laundry room move and didn't want to run a new electrical feed for the dryer. And, when the dryer was removed I installed a basement heating unit that also required 240v. What I had originally done was built an extension cord to the heating unit with the proper plug matching my dryer receptacle. I then ran a short extension cord to the dryer. BUT... I had to unplug one and plug in the other when needed. This splitter was a SUPER easy install. I located right at the receptacle and then plugged both dryer and heater into the unit. NOW, I simply flip the switch (super light touch to do so too) when we need the dryer and once we're done, flip the switch back to the heater....... or visa/versa.This splitter works perfectly and also shows what voltage is flowing through the system and the amps that are being used. In my case, the dryer sees a 245v+- using 22.4 amps+-. I like this feature and it allows me to see that the both the dryer and the heater are drawing what they should and are not failing with over or under electrical usage.VERY Highly Recommended.

I like the concept of this switch and really wanted it to work so I could add an EV charger to my dryer branch circuit. But this switch is simply not fit for its purpose. It is not mentioned anywhere in the product description and no photos show the entire cord. It is only 22 inches long(exposed rubber cord, not including gland or plug) and usually needs a drip loop to have the L shaped terminal up in the outlet. That means the switch bottom can usually be mounted a max of 13" above the plug. The top of the dryer outlet in the wall is maximum 48 inches above the floor. The top of my dryer is 53" above the floor. So even in the best situation, the switch cannot be mounted above the dryer. My actual dryer outlet is mounted 18 inches above the floor, so the switch would need to be very low behind the dryer where the display cannot be seen, it cannot be reached by hand to operate either switch or breaker, or plug. Notice the maximum ambient temperature listed on the switch is 122F. That is easily exceeded in the cramped linty space while the dryer is operating its 5200W heater. The switch housing is entirely made of plastic, not metal, and it is not UL listed. There is a high likelihood that any investigated fire in this area would be at least partially blamed on this switch. So can you as a homeowner just extend the switch cord? Probably not. Dryer cords need to be a maximum of 6 ft. I believe the length of cord in this switch is included, so 4ft maximum dryer cord. Lengthening the switch cord requires shortening the dryer cord less than 4 ft which is just barely sufficient length to move the dryer away from the wall for service.

I recently got this Manual Splitter Switch with Breaker, and it has been a practical way to manage multiple 240V, 24AMP devices in my home that use NEMA 10-30 plugs. It has a dual-socket knob selection switch allows me to safely alternate between two devices without the hassle or wear and tear of constantly plugging and unplugging. This cannot be overstated. Plugs have springs and parts that engage to allow power to flow and most outlets are not designed for repeated use, unless you buy an industrial outlet. If a good connection is not maintained, it will generate heat and could melt the outlet. In order to minimize wear of in/out daily, this switch is needed. The first thing to note is that the switch's knob was not screwed in when I received it- the screw was found in the box under some foam - QC dropped the ball. Otherwise it was in good condition. The NEMA 10-30 connectors fit perfectly, and the manual knob is smooth and intuitive to use. I appreciate the built-in breaker, which adds an extra layer of safety by preventing overloads and short circuits. The switch design ensures there’s no chance of powering both sockets simultaneously. This switch allowed me to use a Dryer outlet and EV charger on the same outlet, which saved thousands from an electrician. It’s also an excellent solution for older homes or setups with limited high-voltage outlets.Installation was straightforward, and the unit feels solid and well-made. The casing feels durable and designed to handle high power loads without overheating. So far it works seamlessly with my dryer and EV charger. With an EV, make sure you set up your Tesla or other EV to use no more than 24AMPS - the 20% rule in electrical code is to use 20% less than the breaker's rating, so in this case the 30AMP outlet uses 24AMPS to provide a margin of safety.Overall, this Splitter Switch is a good for anyone needing to manage multiple appliances from a single outlet, or ease into EV ownership when you dont have a long commute and can tolerate a longer overnight charge time. It’s a well-designed and functional tool that is an economical way of sharing an outlet when there is no need to have constant power to both devices. I would highly recommend to anyone - just make sure your devices have the correct power requirements and the correct adapter if you are using it for a Tesla.
