Unique with a natural variation in the color of the stone, Our artisans work tirelessly to bring to you perfectly carved pieces. All our products are sourced from traditional artisans from Indian villages who have been using time-tested techniques in handcrafting and this is our small effort to provide some highly needed support to these traditional arts and crafts that are facing a daily struggle to survive in todays world.

This bowl was gorgeous; but it came with a chip, so we needed to send it back. I had read reviews saying their bowls had come broken...but I was hoping they were flukes. While the bowl I received was still funtional; we weren't going to keep one that came already chipped. I didn't think to take a picture before sending it back.

Soapstone items are supposed to be made from a solid piece of soapstone, not two pieces melded together.
