I bought two sets of corners for a recent move. Corners like these work well – in addition to protecting the corners of my picture frames, they allow you to more efficiently pack boxes of framed art because they add some spacing between the frames.After careful review of the options, I bought this product and a set of 100 corners sold by another manufacturer. I chose two products because while these corners were advertised as 0.5", 1", 1.5", the others were advertised as 1", 1.5", 2.2", and I wanted some corners for my wider frames.This was clearly the superior product for several reasons: 1) The folds were in about the same places on both sets of corners. If there was a difference in the width of pictures that could be accommodated, it wasn’t meaningful, 2) These were noticeably sturdier than the other product because the cardboard was thicker, 3) For an extra dollar, I got 20% more corners, 4) These were pre-cut, the others were rectangular pieces that looked the same after being cut, but which left me with piles of cardboard that I had to discard. For what it’s worth, both were white on one side and cardboard-colored on the other.It turned out that my two sets of corners were exactly the number I needed for my move, but I’m going to need more corners in the future, so I reordered these.If I had a suggestion for the manufacturer, it would be to offer corners similar to these in an acid-free/lignin free version more suitable for long-term storage.This is a review of Mardili 120 Pack Adjustable Picture Frame Cardboard Corner Protectors for Shipping, Packing or Moving Art.

I needed to protect the corners of about 25 pieces of art, so this was a good option for me. It was inexpensive choice, and it easy to assemble the corners. They don’t stay on extremely well. I ended up adding a layer of saran wrap to keep the corners on before I placed them in shipping boxes.

These are a game-changer. We have moved over 30 times, 4 times in the last 6 years. We have a lot of art and glass framed mountain photos. We have a very heavy glass top coffee table and two very large oil paintings--84". I have spent many hours preparing them for moving. These corners are the best moving aid I've seen in decades. I didn't even have to wrap my glass-framed pictures, just folded the corners, shrink-wrapped the corners so they'd stay on, and put 5 of them in a box together. No hassle, no breakage. There IS something new under the sun.

These are easily folded and the xtra fold to inside keeps then from falling off corners. Picture is 16x20 canvas but these work well on smaller canvas’ too. Thick enough to allow protection for stacking or shipping pictures.
