They were great to help the sound. I used them on the speakers put in the doors of my truck.

These were a little big and I had about an inch around my 6.5" speaker where this sat. But the foam is great quality and the adhesive is top tier. I used the center of the foam ring in the door for some dampening. It works great.

These make the world of difference! My speakers sound so much better and we can turn the bass up and nothing rattles!

So, I'm putting a sound system into a medium duty truck that had nothing. It does, however, have the mounting bosses in the C pillars and in the dash. I used the C-pillar mounting but will make custom mounting for the front doors. This quieted those rear speakers a LOT. I stuffed the solid center pieces behind the 6.5s. They mount in the corner walls and had only cab wall behind them. At first, they sounded tinny and cheap (they ARE, but I don't want them to sound it!). This warmed up their sound and took the hollow "ring" out of their sound. It is still in dire need of a subwoofer though....

The outer foam ring on the front of the speaker helps with separation of the front and rear soundwaves from the speaker cone by attempting to better seal the front of the speaker to the door grille. This helps with bass output. The center foam circle goes on the inside of the door behind the speaker to help reduce the chance of resonance inside the door cavity. Though, you need to make sure that it won't interfere with any internal door components or that it won't seal up the speakers pole vent if it is equipped with one.I like that the foam is soft enough to form around close fitting door panels. I was worried that it if they were more dense, my door panel wouldn't be able to snap back on as my speakers fit close to the door grille. In most cases, these foams by themselves won't make a night and day difference, but they will help. For the current price, they're worth giving a shot.

Items were of good quality and at a great price. 3M tape on the backside stuck on without any issues.

Does what it's supposed to, bridges gap between door panel and speaker surface. The inner foam goes against door to absorb rear sound wave (apparently). Thickness is a bit much though for my application, thinner weather like stripping works just as well.
