The last a long time. You can drag over them and they get no damage

I purchased these rubber base plugs thinking they would be great for my softball/baseball field. Apparently I thought wrong. They seemed to work great for the first few days, and the tassels did make them very easy to find. However, within the first week of having them in the ground, one of the tassels broke off/pulled out, leaving the rubber plug wedged in the base insert! It took a good 25 minutes of practice to cut out the rubber plug. They definitely make the rubber part sturdy! Then, just last week, two more of the plugs separated from the tassels. I was able to easily remove one because it was not firmly into the base insert, but the other one took quite a while to remove again. I threw away the remaining base plug because I didn't want to be stuck in that same situation a fourth time.My recommendation - not worth it! Buy a foam base plug, or some other version where the tassels don't pull out within a few weeks of owning them!

These get stuck in our base inserts and are very hard to get out. I prefer the foam base plugs instead (although they are quite expensive)

The plug got stuck and we had to delay a game 30 minutes to get it to come out of the ground. The bristles came off when we pulled it out.
