I have used this brand and type of rotary cutter for many years in the 45mm size I have carpel tunnel and ulnar nerve entrapment syndrome but this style cuter does NOT aggravate those conditions. So I recently purchase the larger 60mm size to make my quilt block cutting go faster. I’m very pleased with it.

Somehow feels so much more natural than the normal kind. The number of times over the years I’ve pushed the ruler off my line because I was pushing too hard across my body trying to press down to cut through thicker fabric… I can tell from the first few weeks of using this the design has solved that issue. The palm hold directs your pressure forward and down so you cut more forcefully without pushing the blade off the line/moving the ruler. Totally with the price. Probably pays for itself if you factor the cost of a few botched cuts with the other kind in an expensive material.

I stumbled across this cutter while viewing some sewing videos. Had never seen one like it. It is absolutely amazing. My two regular rotary cutters are going in the trash. I have never liked them and they never cut through even two thin layers well.Let me emphasize this cuts through with amazing ease, not just two layers but quilted multilayer items like butter. No effort at all!!I just love it!!!I WOULD like for the manufacturer to add a safety feature that allows for a spring loaded cover to snap in place with a touch of the finger for which ever left or right hand you are using would be amazing and safer. Having to turn it around and let go of the handle to turn the knob to put the safety cover in place makes it a pain and less likely people will go to the trouble.Maybe other models have this feature but I didn't see it.I will be ordering extra blades and a second one soon.Excellent product!!!

Definitely has a learning curve. When it doesn’t seem to cut well, I find it is usually user error corrected by changing the way I am holding the cutter. Changing the blade is not intuitive or easy. I can see where the guard can be easily broken, especially with the tiny cutter. However, I must admit that for multiple cuts, needed a few hundred strips for a project, this cutter is so much kinder to my wrist and arm. Won’t be throwing out my old rotary cutter, but will definitely be keeping this one.

I love this cutter. I have arthritis in my wrists and it is so helpful. I own it in a 45 mm and 60 Millimeter. I know it’s kind of expensive but I want to continue to quilt and this gives me a great option.

I was cutting yards and yards, and then more yards of binding and my wrist and hand were smoked. I found this little gem and ordering it was a game changer. I’ll never go back to a traditional rotary cutter. I can cut those yards and yards without any wrist or hand pain at all.

Definitely worth the money I paid. I have a number of rotary cutters but this one I find is the easiest to use for me. The pressure on the cutter is centralised over the cutting area and that means less pain for my wrist! You would need to buy either the left hand or right hand cutter as they are not interchangeable. Another issue for some maybe is that you must only buy Martelli blades as no other make will fit however, I've been cutting away for days now and the blade shows no sign of becoming a little dull so all in all I would recommend it.

I have such bad arthritis in my right hand that I thought I would have to stop quilting because I couldn’t cut the fabric, but now I don’t. Fits my hand and cuts amazingly well for a cutter that looks so different than most. Simple to use and easy to change blades. The blade it comes with is razor sharp and lasts longer then my other brand blades. Nothing bad to say about it. I highly recommend this for anyone who has pain in their hands or anyone wanting to prevent pain from happening.
