I've always had problems with mask fogging. I'm a big guy so I produce a lot of body-heat. I've never found a decent solution, so I tried this reluctantly. It works perfectly. I think anyone who has had issues with it either didn't follow directions, didn't pre-treat their mask by removing the gunk left on during manufacture (with toothpaste), or are using plastic lenses. For the record, I used this stuff with a Tusa Liberator mask while snorkeling and SCUBA diving. The result: no fog whatsoever. The form-factor is very convenient. I clipped the carabiner onto my shorts and was surprised to find that the lid stayed shut during long swims.Application tips:-Works best when applied to a dry mask.-You only need a very small amount- one little dab should work well for both lenses.-Rub it in until all of the glass on the inside of the mask is covered. It shouldn't be chunky or globby.-Dip the mask in water to remove extraneous defogger.-Clean the inside of the mask well after use. Defogger left on the mask can get dry and crusty.

My wife and I got PADI certified back in August through a local dive training center called Scuba Bros here in OKC! I know, I know OKC is landlocked and there are no beaches in sight... well they have a nice lake to complete all of our dives and underwater objectives. We would have been miserable without this defogger. Now it took a couple times to learn how to apply it properly but it works great to us. I really hate reviews cause you never know if someone is really knowledgeable enough to leave a worthy enough review. Well i will be the first to tell you we wanted less fogging when we dive and this did the trick. Its not like all of a sudden our goggles were in HD and Fish seemed more vibrant or something cliche as that but it helped a ton for the couple of hours a day we were underwater. Even after clearing our masks several times. Now we make sure we apply it an hour or so before each dive to keep a thin, fresh layer on our goggles. You can't go wrong with this stuff imo.

I bought this to defog a swim mask that I use weekly. The 'defogger' is a thick paste that clouds the mask and is difficult to rub off. I tried putting on different amounts, but got the same results. Either the defogger still clouded up the glass on my lens after extensive rinsing, or after I was able to rub the residue off, the mask fogged up immediately. The directions say rub a "liberal" amount on the interior lens, wet or dry. I tried applying it every which way, and was disappointed at the lack of clear defogging. I tired returning the product, but Amazon says I can't return it, but gives me contact info for the manufacturer which is wrong. I read another review that suggested using baby shampoo, and was pleasantly surprised at how well the shampoo worked.

Defog alone will not keep you fog free, at my work we burn the leftover silicone residues from the manufacturing process off the lenses with a mini blowtorch, being careful not to melt the mask. Then squirt a pea sized ball of toothpaste, plain white colgate anticavity, on the inside of the lens and swirl/rub in good and repeat like 5x to be on the safe side, 1x usually is not enough 2x maybe 3x probably 5x yeah its clean. Then rinse and your mask is ready to use any brand of defog and have it actually work without hassles. I was on a diveboat and there were all these old timers in a circle comparing their defogs like warriors comparing their weapons and this old guy, M1 (like the gun) looks at me and is like "What kind of defog you using there?" And I take out my bottle of 500PSI and he replied back with a nod up and down and a look of approval on his face, "After 40 years of diving and trying ever defog ever made I only use 500PSI". Now, I must say, I NEVER HAVE ISSUES WITH FOG....EVERRRRR. But I also only use 500PSI, I think the other defogs are no good since they rinse off too easily and in a group of 10 guys in a pool or the ocean, I am the only one not needing constant applications all day and am also the only whose mask is 100% fogless every day for the last 2 years. This stuff lasts multiple dives, I put a little bit on and it last me pretty much all day. I wish we sold it at my work cause we sell the Jaws Spit stuff at my work and that stuff is a scam, you spray it on and it comes off the second your mask floods, what a bad product. And I am not allowed to advertise 500PSI at my work or tell the students to use it because we dont sell it and if we did people wouldnt spend as much on the Jaws Spit and as employees/instructors under a company we are forced to promote the other brands that I cant stand for sales becauseand Jaws Spit need to reapply it like 10x a day vs. 500PSI 1x-2x.

Works well! So nice not to have to do the 'spit and defog' every minute or so. One application lasted me 8 to 10 hours of snorkeling. It can get a little messy so I would highly suggest defogging everything the night before, or really days before, you get to your destination so that you don't get sand mixed in with the gel. I learned the hard way--oops! But it was easily cleaned with ocean water and reapplied, more carefully this time LOL.

I would always have issues with fogging. I’ve tried DOZENS of defog products over many years and nothing works as well as 500PSI. This is the real deal. It’s super thick (think caramel) and not watered-down like many others. I’m always the envy of the boat after the first dive and end up sharing with the rest of the crew for the second descent. Be diligent about proper rinsing and you’ll be dog-free for your entire dive.

Living in Hawaii and very experienced with antifogs, This stuff is fantastic. I usually don't have much issues but my friends always do. I applied to 4 mask, all dry, rubbed in really well. Rinsed and rubbed moderately gentle out. Not only did no mask fog, but honestly they did all seem cleaner. Something I noticed is after use and the mask dries. There is a white residue in the edges of mask, Do not worry, next trip apply more. rub in, rub out and you will never see it. Rinse when done really well and it is gone. Excellent antifog.
