This proprietary sponge keeps acrylics and other water-soluble paints moist and workable for days, even weeks. Use this sponge in combination with Masterson Sta-Wet Acrylic Paper (not included) to provide moisture to the paints. This Masterson Refill Pack contains three sponges. Sponges work very well with palettes. Easy to use. Good value for the money, saves money on paint costs without wasting expensive paint materials! Can paint hours later even days and my paint still fresh.

As an acrylic artist I find that the Stay Wet pallet has saved me a fortune in paint. This sponge portion of stay wet is good but does tend to gather mold and disintegrates quickly maybe 2-3 uses. It is fairly cost effective but could be made thicker and more durable. The size fits my stay wet pallets perfectly. I have 2- different sizes.

I find the wet palette to be great when it works, but sometimes a little hard to maintain. Can’t be too wet, or your paints run. Too dry, and it dries out after you use it.I cleaned it and went to reuse it, but I’d let it dry and it cracked so decided to use a new one.Fits the palette well.

This keeps acrylic paint damp and pliable. I spent a couple of hours scraping paint off another palette that claimed to keep paint wet. It also drys on some pallets while they are open and in use. That doesn’t happen with this one.

My acrylics stay malleable for quite a while when stored. Only drawback is the paint becomes more runny.
