Okay, hear me out... our reasons for purchasing this mattress were incredibly unconventional.My partner and I recently adopted a kitten. We live in a one bedroom, one bath apartment. We also have another (adult) cat, who's territory is without any contest, the bedroom. It's her room. So we needed to keep kitten and cat separated while slowly introducing them. This meant the kitten's room would be our bathroom.We adopted an Oriental Shorthair. They are an excessively clingy breed. They crave human interaction and affection, which can make caring for them as kittens almost as challenging as caring for a human baby.We spent days trying to figure out a way to get comfortable in there with him. Nothing worked. He required SO much one on one time with us that we were desperate to find a comfortable way to lounge in there with him. ...and we were also getting desperate.Off the cuff, and in the madness of my lack of sleep state, I asked my partner "What if we bought a futon mattress, folded it in half, and put it in the tub?"I might have been sleep deprived, but I am a genius.Once we got it in and settled--- honestly it was probably more comfortable than lounging on our couch.Speaking of... it now resides on our couch as an extra topper.That being said, I have tried this out on the floor. I am IMPRESSED with how comfortable it is. My partner and I are not small people and the fact that it supports our weights comfortably is surprising.If you're looking for a comfortable futon mattress this one is GREAT.

Calling it a mattress is criminal. It's thinner than a blanket. I never take the time to write reviews, but this is horrendous. You can feel every bar of the futon through this, even with a memory foam topper added

Has a weird cteade that wont go away.Not as thick as described.Im using it on a too soft mattress.. will need a board under it.I weigh 100# and am making a dent.Ill need another on top

My husband and I were going through a moment in our relationship where we pretty much couldn’t stand each other. So I told him to move into the guest room. I had bought a futon frame but no mattress. He needed a new place to sleep and that wasn’t going to be with me so i ordered him this. He preferred to sleep on the floor however with this mattress. A few month go by and we are trying to rekindle our love and a friend invites us on a camping trip and we no longer had camping gear. Hubby decided to take this mattress and drive our Chrysler Pacifica. Bro let me tell you this was the best decision ever. We laid the seats down. Hooked up a box fan in the front and slept peacefully all night! We didn’t even wake up damp. So this was a great buy for the value. Quality! Easy folding.

When I purchased this the title said futon mattress. It's more of a futon pillow. It isn't comfortable at all & it does not stay in place. You get what you pay for.
