Simple. It clicks. Has a Big Dial. Perfect. I play and teach guitar. To find the sweet spot for practicing, the Big Dial lets you click up/down in increments without fiddling around with digital wiz-bang “features”. For the volume issue I use a piece of black archival artist/book tape. Doesn’t get gummy - lift up for louder tape it down more for quiet.

This metronome is blasting loud, and it has NO VOLUME CONTROL. When you get to a soft section of the piece you're practicing, I guess you can stop playing, put a pillow over it, or put it 30 feet away from you. Obviously, without the absolutely essential feature of a volume control, you can throw this metronome right in the trash (or return it). I had no idea they would design this metronome without one, it makes absolutely no sense. Yes, metronomes from 50 years ago had no volume control, but....it's 2021.....
