Mattel Enchantimals Junglewood Boat & Merit Monkey Doll, Multi Color

There's no clip and hole on the monkey's back!!!!!(Sorry, had to get that out of the way.)I have every Enchantimals doll and playset (including the three Huggables dolls and the bug collection), and I've reviewed most of them on Amazon. If you've read my Enchantimals reviews before, you know two things:1. My reviews are usually long and detailed.2. I hate the clip/hole mold that most Enchantimals pet figures have had.Let's see if we can change those. :)I've incorporated most of my review into photos attached to this review, so I can show you what I'm talking about rather than writing a novel to explain. Click through my 20 photos for my detailed review.The highlights:- No clip and hole on the monkey's back!!!! I hope this is a return to the pet style of the first releases, without the disturbing taxidermied-purse look that the clip/hole pets have. (If you've read my past Enchantimals reviews, you know what I'm talking about. ;) ) The monkey is the same as the original version of the monkey pet, except she gets a paint upgrade. I like her swirly-bronze-brown color.- This is the second version of the monkey girl. This time she gets articulated knees! :)- She also gets the swimsuit-style paint this time. The original release of the monkey girl doll is still the only Enchantimals doll to have her skin color paint under the skirt instead of the swimsuit-style paint. Monkey girl version #2 gets a pink swimsuit under her skirt!- The boat is incredibly detailed with wood grain, vines, flowers, and other decorations molded into the pieces.The lowlights:- Although I like the pet's coloring, I don't like the dull greyish-tan face color. The original had a bright peach face.- As with the original version, the monkey doll's hair is difficult to keep neat. Maybe it's supposed to be like that, to be like wild monkey hair???- The shoes are a repeat. The hot pink lace-up boots with molded-on plastic socks are identical to the raccoon doll's shoes. With more than 70 Enchantimals dolls in my collection, I could be overlooking something, but I'm pretty sure this is the first shoe repeat with different characters. There have been multiple versions of a single character that kept the same shoes, and there have been dolls that had the same shoe mold but different colors. This is the first time, however, that two different characters had the exact same shoe mold and color.- The life ring accessory doesn't work well on the doll and figure. It works fine as a decoration on the side of the boat, but it's so tight it's hard to get on and off of the girl, and the monkey pet doesn't fit in the ring but just sort of balances on top of it.- The clip-on packs are kind of dorky. I don't think they'll get much use.Ok, that's it for my narrative. Got this for my granddaughter for her birthday. She loves it. She has alot of the Enchantimals and plays with them whenever she visits.

My little girl ( 7 years old) was super excited about this one. She has a ton of pueces from the Enchantimals line and his was icing on the cake for her

I ordered it for a Christmas present for my daughter. She sadly found it before Christmas and got into it, doing what kids do but she loves it. And not cheaply made lol

My daughter loved it it’s really cute and the boat is quite big. She loves playing with it.

Ok, I ordered this because a small person I’m fond of expressed an interest in it. I did not know at the time that this toy, and many, many, many others in the same line, are manufactured to be ancillary products for a cartoon called Enchantimals, shown, interestingly enough, on Amazon Prime, and on You Tube. (Yes, I do tend to get a tad cranky about toys like this, because I’m not sure how much imaginative play they encourage when the concept encourages more screen time.) The characters in Enchantimals are all female who are part human, part other animal, and all have little animals as pets/helpers/alter egos. The girl in this set is part monkey, with non removable monkey like ears and actually nice long hair. She comes packaged with a fun party boat called a Jungleboat that has wheels— is it supposed to be amphibious, like a duck boat? - plus a telescope and life preserver. Her little monkey comes with a removable blue hat that’s a miniature of hers. The whole set is colorful in a bright, tropical way, and if you want to indulge a child who watches the show with a treat, it’s not as expensive as some other such ancillary toys. If our little friend loves it, I promise to stop being cranky.

It is such a big toy and very detailed and cute.

I bought this item for my granddaughter aged 6. It is well made and very detailed. The bright colours and materials make it very attractive and it adds very nicely to the family of Enchantimals that she owns. Good value as it has already given many hours of pleasure.

He comprado esta muñeca Enchantimals (Merit Monkey) para mi princesita, la hija de 7 años de mi amiga, que es una auténtica enamorada de esta serie.El set viene con: Muñeca con orejas de mono, pequeño monito con riñonera amarilla a juego y sombrero, el barco Junglewood con ruedas que van muy bien y facilitan el juego, telescopio pequeño, un salvavidas doble y un farolillo.Las ondas castañas del pelo de esta muñeca son preciosas y caen alrededor de sus orejas de mono. Su falda y zapatos se pueden quitar, aunque su top no. Sus rodillas se doblan para poder sentarla, algo poco común en estas muñecas. Los brazos no se doblan por los codos, aunque son móviles.El mono es de plástico pintado, pero bien rematado. Es "mono", muy ligero y suena hueco. Tiene como inconveniente que su sombrero azul que tiende a caerse mucho.El barco es muy completo, incluso tiene un lugar especial para sentarse y "disfrutar de la gran vista".El barco se mueve sin esfuerzo, gracias a sus ruedas que van muy bien, a través de tipos diferentes de suelos. El volante rosa da vueltas y vueltas junto a un pequeño clip, donde se puede colocar el telescopio y un mástil para que se suba el mono y colgar el farolillo.La muñeca viene empacada con su sombrero azul, pero me pareció un poco difícil llevarla a la zona cubierta del barco con ella.Es muy bonita y de buena calidad. Muy bien diseñado y no se ve barato. Lo recomiendo. El envío llegó en la fecha indicada y en perfecto estado.Espero que mi opinión os haya ayudado.
