Sometimes I need a cable to reach between guitar pedals, and sometimes I want something to go from a desktop synth to a mixer, and most of the cables I have will only be good at one of those tasks. These, however, are well suited for both, and excel at the times when purpose-built cables aren't quite right for my particular needs. The distance between pedals in a large chain, or some oddly-shaped or large pedals, make tiny patch cables useless, and sometimes having a three-or-more foot cable for a small desktop setup adds annoying clutter--so these are great for addressing those scenarios. Having a bunch is even better, and being different colors is also really handy for quickly identifying a setup, especially in the aforementioned desktop synth situation.

They seem to be of good quality, and I like that they come in multiple colors so you're not wondering which cable goes to which pedal. The price makes them less than $2 each, which seems more than fair to me.

These are not low-profile patch cables. They use long jacks, so they aren't perfect for cramped pedal boards, but they are a nice, slightly longer length. A lot of patch cables are only 6 inches, and it can be challenging to use them in certain circumstances. This little bit of extra length is good for when you need to connect a side-mounted jack pedal to a top-mounted jack pedal, or go up or down a row on your pedalboard. The different colors are fun, and also potentially helpful for figuring out pedal order. I didn't notice any extra noise when using them with high gain, and I have no particular complaints about them.
