Needed a mid-sized bench anvil for doing a little metal forming. This is the perfect size and weight for my purposes, its been very easy to use (youre smacking stuff against it with a hammer, its easy to use). It’s been very durable and functions as I’d like it to for the price I paid. Would recommend.

Originally I got a steel block by itself, that was slightly smaller for $3 less, I was looking at rubber inserts for it, and I came across this one, it’s perfect, it’s heavy, didn’t have any dents or scratches, came really well packaged, and the rubber backing it’s perfect, fits very snuggly!

I really like this hammering block. Decent size to work on pieces. I like the rubber block it sits in to minimize the noise. My only negative I could say was there is a very strong scent reprehensible first opened

For small jobs like setting the hoop on my chisels, it’s very good. The rubber base does absorb the hammer blows well.

Have used a smaller 3x3 block for a long time. It was time to upgrade, and this little guy certainly does the trick. Rubber base is super heavy and absorbs shock. Great surface area, nice and ready to go out of the box...once you clean the grease off it. Really like it.

I needed a larger block to stamp spoons. I opted for this due to the removable grip. It is quite heavy, but that's good for stamping. It does completely come out of the removable rubber grip. It also came oiled, which was a really nice surprise and shows the manufacturer understands their product. Bonus, these are made in India, which made me feel less guilty about buying it.Definitely recommend for metal stamping if you need the larger work area.

This is an excellent bench block! Solid and heavy for pounding and stamping. The rubber side is thick and offers great noise dampening and a surface when you need to use a soft surface.
