I have an old Cal Hawk rotary polisher I bought over 10 years ago and did not know how to properly use it. I decided to get the 5 inch backing plate to use the SPTA 5.5 polishing and buffer pads. This fit perfectly on my Cal Hawk. The Velcro and construction is excellent. The Maxshine products are great for the price point and my use. I am not a professional detailer just a dad that keeps 4 vehicles looking good. I use to do them all by hand but not anymore. Just let the polisher do the work and I run the speed below 2000 rpm. I am looking at the smaller backing plates to do wheels and other items. Happy Camper here.

I was semi pleased when I finally received this. Semi because it was not a soft foam, it was rather stuff; kind of afraid to use it on my car. But, to top it off, it did not come with the piece to connect it to your drill, so unless you already have one, don’t order this.
