I started getting these because I was getting tired of the more common rigid slim-sale CD/DVD cases either creating or having the little pivot tabs getting broken off. These ones are somewhat flexible so will not break or shatter if they are accidentally dropped on a hard surface. So I use them for discs which may be accessed more often. They are the same size as conventional 'standard size' cases, which take up more space than the 'slim style' cases. Those I use for discs which are infrequently accessed.

These are soft plastic cases, not the typical hard plastic of retail cd cases.What was delivered to me was what they said it would be, I just didn't know these style existed, so I didn't know to watch for them.The plastic is milky, not totally clear like a typical jewel case.If you know what your buying, these should be a-okay.

I like them a lot better than the clear plastic ones. Much more durable. I did notice that it seemed they were not all uniform. I had to trim the label card that came in original case a little so it would fit. Would like an option to get more than ten at a time at maybe a little lower price. Bulk rate?

Unlike other reviewers, we have no problem with the so-called “milky†covers, and haven’t had an issue, so far, with the CD covers and backs not fitting. We were very disappointed to discover that they are NOT “shatterproofâ€, as advertised. While transferring CDs to their new cases, one accidentally fell literally 12†or so to the floor, and one of the hinges broke off!!! “Shatterproofâ€, indeed.

First off, the case is not completely clear like standard CD cases, it's more cloudy and white. It also doesn't have the exact dimensions of a standard CD case, meaning that if you're trying to fit liner art in there from another CD, it most likely won't fit.Photo: Standard CD case on left, CD case I'm reviewing on right

It took me a moment, because the material didn't feel right, but I ended up Loving them! They are a difference material so it was nice to pop them open without the brittle material and possible cracking.
