This is a high quality part that feels as strong as the original. Very pleased with the more leveled look with the full 2" drop on my 2018 Silverado. There was a very noticeable improvement in roll around the corners. It even feels like it may have softened the ride a bit by shifting a bit more wieght onto the rear springs. Install was straightforward and required the removal of the receiver hitch, as well as 4 rear bolts holding down the box. By allowing the box to raise up from the frame, the upper shackle bolt can just slide right over the frame and you dont have to do any cutting like the instructions suggest. Took about 2.5 hours.

Great price, easy to install. And they seem to be well enough built for what they're for. I would definitely buy these again on if I was going to do the same thing to another full-size Chevy pickup. Fit on the 1990 GMC Ciara just fine. Just needed to Jack's or one Jack and a couple of jack stands and be safe. After tools are out barely took an hour each side if even that much

Perfect fit. No issues. The grease fitting hole isn't threaded, which isn't unusual. Using a wrench (5/16 or 8mm) use your thumb to apply pressure to the grease fitting also holding it striaght, now use the wrench to get the fitting to start threading, the rest is history, grease em up and go.

These are quality shakels, but they are pain to install if you have a few of the following. I have a tow bar under the truck which I had to remove to install the brackets. I also had to drop the tire to remove the tow bar. The grease sert hole is not threaded. I had to thread the hole and intall the grease sert. This isnt difficult but should have already been threaded. I had to bend my bad out of the way so that the spring would go high enough to take out the top bolt and insert the top bold into the new shakel. You could avoid this if you take the whole spring off the axel but this would require a lift. I only had a floor jack. The lower bolt is blocked from coming out if you have a tow bar thus the reason from taking off my tow bar and dropping spare tire. The beacket was tight fitting onto the frame bracket. I had to made the bracket fit with pry bars and a hammer. This wasnt hard either but took a little convincing. You will either need a pass thru 21mm socket or a deep 21 may get it. A 13/16 also fits but is a little loose. I would suggest getting the metric socket. This is easy install if you dont have a tow bar and have a lift. Otherwise its kind of a pain in the butt. Hope this helps the next guy. I do not remember the tap for the grease sert. I gave this 4 stars for having to thread the grease sert. These also dont have red ends but black ends on the shakel.

Lowered my truck perfectly. Very happy, getting the shackles off was a bit more challenging than I thought, on 2011 silverado, the bed rail seam had to be bent to the side a bit, and then differential jacked up to allow the bolt to come off, grease zerks had to be threaded on, and held grease with no problems. Make sure to grease all your bushing and it works perfectly, no question about the durability of the product, seems extremely high quality.

it took me all day to put these shackles on. i had the rear or my chevy 2012 single cab silverado on jackstands. i hurt my thumb because the leave spring shot up quick and got my finger. brought my rear end about 1 or 1 and a half inch. still looked lifted from the back and not leveled so i removed a 3inch block on the rear under the leaf springs and is now sitting leveled. now every time i go through a speedbumb the rear of my truck makes a skweaky noise because of the leafespring and the frame of the truck rubbing together. hard install overall but not impossible.

Well worth the money. Feel stronger than oem shackles. Bushings look nice. Would have been nice if the grease zert hole was pre threaded but not too big of a deal for me.Note, the bed did not have to be removed to install, my bed was already removed to get replaced with a cleaner bed. It did make it a lot easier tho

Easy to install, one downside. It comes with grease zerks but the hole is not threaded. If you don’t have a tapping kit, you can’t install the zerts. If you try to thread them in, you will strip the threads.

Installed on my 99 stepside Silverado 2wd, gave the truck a level look. Easy install after you bend the pinch rail of the box to get the top shackle bolt in. First side took 30 mins or so to figure out, other side took less than 10 mins.

Lifted my ranger 1.75 inches. Up travel and down travel has significantly increased, allowing my truck to make full use of bilstein 4600 shock travel. Ride is much smoother over bumps. How much I should attribute to not having worn out shackles on is a mystery, but I guarantee it's close to 50/50. The included grease nipples are of good quality. I used a tap and some oil to make the threads by hand, then installed the grease nipple. A grease fitting tap can be found at most local auto stores for cheap. The included bushings are of excellent quality. I would recommend these due to having very competitive pricing, and being of high quality

Nice welds and powdercoating. Greasable which is a big plus. For my chevy sitting a little lower in the rear.
