I used Milwaukee and Bosch random orbital sanders and this sander is in another level maybe not at Festool standard. What is different is less fatigue from vibration and quicker sanding time.

So far, excellent. I know that some have reported issues, but the vast majority of reviews are 5 stars, as us mine. Low vibration, balanced, quiet, effective, good dust collection.

If you're wondering what you're paying for here, you're paying for how smooth this is. It doesn't vibrate nearly as much as cheaper sanders. I would say it works faster too, with good sandpaper. The sandpaper that comes with it is best thought of as a bonus to test it. It's not great sandpaper. Even the random stuff you'll get at a hardware store is going to be better than that sandpaper. The braking system is also very nice. It stops it after maybe two seconds. If you are sanding something complicated, that can speed things up dramatically, when compared to waiting around for the sander to stop every few seconds. It has some serious power. It's more than enough to cut with coarse paper and polish with fine paper. It doesn't bog down unless you are being completely ridiculous with it. The sander itself is rather quiet. My vacuum completely drowned it out, at last in my ears. The dust collection works fine. It's not going to collect every little thing, but it's considerably better than needing to empty a bag every few minutes and definitely better than just letting sawdust fly everywhere.

Great orbital sander. Your hand will thank you for purchasing this tool. On a negative note. The dust collector hose is garbage†Cheapâ€
