This is the second one we’ve purchased. My dog eats everything when outside and ends up throwing up in the middle of the night as a result. This muzzle sure does the trick to thwart her efforts to eat things while outside! She fusses with the muzzle each time we put it on her, trying to get it off, but she has been unable to and quickly forgets about it and goes about her merry way, enjoying being outside. It’s long enough for her snout and big enough around to allow panting, and seems comfortable. She is still able to pick up things while wearing it but not able eat any foreign objects. So happy we found something that fits properly for our breed of dog, allows panting and keeps her from eating things in our yard.

I have a very large GSD that's 11 who within the last year has decided to eat things in the yard. Even watching and following him around, he was still finding acorns the crows have started bringing to drop onto my small dog. The acorns, being toxic, have made him sick a few times.I found this muzzle and thought it a decent price. It's made it through an entire week of my dog rolling around and rubbing his face on the ground, then a few more days of rubbing his face on the chain link occasionally. It's stayed on through all of it and is holding up well. Training is ongoing with it, but I also needed to know if he could get it off easily. He has tried his best, but he can't eat anything in the yard. This has meant the muzzle has needed handwashed a couple times. It's held up well through the washing. He can breathe well when wearing it.He can't drink well with it on. He can't get his mouth open wide enough or get his tongue out far enough. I've tested this indoors. While I won't ever leave him unsupervised with it on, I have to keep this in mind. It's very hot here in the summer. He'll need to come in sooner from play for drinks. This is especially true because I don't know if he'll be able to adequately pant. It's easy to adjust. I had it sized the first time in only a few minutes.**My one problem is that I've had to readjust it every couple days. I'm sure this has a lot to do with my dog's activities but it's inconvenient when my senior boy really has to go out. It's pretty simple to readjust.*You will have to use the collar or your own collar. It will almost certainly come off without a collar. They really thought that part through. They included some basic instructions on positive reinforcement training for muzzle training. I really appreciate that. It could really help someone that doesn't know how to start or thinks you can simply put one on without issue.

I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to help, if others have “scavenger†dogs, like ours, making them very sick with colitis, gastritis, plus high vet bills to fix. Our 60lb red golden doodle is size large, which matched the sizing measuring guide. Our 60lb blonde golden doodle’s nose measured the same, but her head is smaller, so we had to exchange the large for size medium for her. She was able to remove the large because it was too loose and long on her nose. We did minimal treat training and in a couple of days they now know potty time means muzzle time with no fighting to get it on or trying to take it off. The included collar is very helpful to hold the muzzle straps in place and keep it secure. For us, when all straps and collar are adjusted properly, they stay in place very nicely. I like that they can still comfortably sniff without being able to eat any rabbit/wildlife droppings. It’s roomy for panting or barking. I like that it’s softer and the tip doesn’t rest against the tip of their sensitive noses. I like that they can open their mouths to a comfortable position. The muzzle itself is loose around the nose circumference and length, while secure around the head and neck with the adjustable straps. They play and wrestle in the yard, as normal, muzzles intact. Now we can relax with them, while they play outside, without having to constantly watch every sniff. We actually get to enjoy our time outside too, without feeling like we have to rush them back inside the house after they’ve pottied. We don't need it on walks because there’s less temptation and a quick leash correction or leave it command, is all that is needed. These muzzles are a life saver for us. We just spent over $1000 at the emergency vet for an X-ray, to make sure the red golden, didn’t have a blockage or foreign body, plus IV fluids and meds. I would definitely recommend this muzzle for scavengers.

I use the muzzle to prevent my dog from eating undigestible things. I've been using another Mayerzon muzzle that fits him perfectly but has a rubbery coating that sheds and retains odors. I was afraid he was ingesting the coating so decided to try this one. He was able to get this one off without the neck strap so would recommend always using it. This muzzle is very well made but the piping makes the seams rigid and prevents the snout fabric from laying flat. As a result it is much narrower and shorter than the measurements would indicate. This causes difficulty panting so my dog tires quickly at the dog park. The muzzle also does not allow him to drink water as easily as his old one. The next size bigger would be too loose and I'm sure he would be able to get it off. If they could solve this problem, the product would be perfect.

Love this product! My St. Bernard loves to eat stuff and then gets sick. One time she chewed a pine cone another time she ate a rock and threw up blood. Praise Jesus I found this, now I put it on her for when she’s going to go potty so she can’t pick anything up, some mushrooms are deadly for dogs and certain roads too, I use this muzzle for her everyday when she needs to go outside. She can breathe great with it. I’ve had it over a year already. I use it for her on walks too because she tries to put everything on the floor in her mouth. Highly recommend!

My dog was always eating things on the road that he shouldn’t (such as bio waste from other animals). We have a lot of barn cats in the neighbourhood and this was becoming a problem. The cost of this muzzle represented about 1/10 of my last vet bill! 10 out of 10 would highly recommend!!!I also found the size guide to be very accurate!! The muzzle itself is washable and the fabric is very durable. I cut the excess strap length off and my dog doesn’t seem to mind it!!

Wollten diesen für Jagd auf Bienen und Wespen einsetzen leider ist die Schnauzenlänge für unseren Rhodesian Ridgeback zu kurz, die Nase stößt an.Ansonsten guter Eindruck.Artikel ging zurück.

I measured my dogs face and he had a longer nose than even the XL for most muzzles. His face is not very wide or thick so this muzzle is doing the trick so far although he hasn't attempted to bite anything with it on. I'm only using it for short intervals as I'm trying to introduce him to cats.
