A1: There are two reasons for this:
1. The selected size is incorrect for your dog.
2. Most dogs resist wearing muzzles for the first time. Please do positive training before putting on a muzzle for your dog. Muzzle is a temporary training tool, the more important is the patience and training of the owner. Try to give your dog more positive feedback, your dog will feel your attitude.
Q2: Can the muzzle be worn for a long time?
A2: It is not recommended to wear the muzzle for a long time, and it is not recommended to wear it without human supervision to avoid dangerous situations.
Q3: Is this muzzle suitable for short-snouted dogs?

My active 6 month old pup can't get this off as much as she tries. Stops her from eating mud and animal feces but she can still pant and breathe as she runs our acreage. I bought a second one so I can wash as needed. This is a very light but sturdy item. Super easy to fit and clip on multiple times a day.

Softer fabric, I have a 5 lb chihuahua though and it is a size or two too big on her. Her nose is roughly a once long. Just wanted to leave a review unless anyone was looking for size recommendations like I was. It is to big but tightens enough that it will stay on for her nail trims. Overall quality is great for the price and it works great. Even with the size not being right it gets the job done.

I measured my dog before purchasing. It fit well over the top of the nose/mouth, but the length was too long and was hitting right at the eyes. It would have not been tolerable because of it digging in right at / under the eyes. If I ordered a smaller size, it may not have been big enough to go around his mouth. The fabric itself was soft, and it was easy to put on. It's just the overall fit wasn't right.

He's still a yapper. I still get that piercing bark from him whenever someone rings the bell or comes near our door so unfortunately my last resort is a shock collar for his stubborn little self.It fit him perfectly and it's very lightweight and durable. I'm glad it's adjustable because i needed to make it smaller sround his golf ball sized head. He wasn't able to get it off no matter how he tried which I felt quite smug about but he was still able to bark and act stupid so it's a loss for me.

This muzzle is made of quality material and seems to have strong stitching. My female didn't mind wearing it. The customer service was awesome. I would suggest sizing smaller if you're between sizes and your dog has a tapered snout (e.g. shepherd, husky, doberman).

Great fit. While 9" circumference was a little outside the dimensions suggested by seller, I knew my jack/westie/eng bullie x breed, he's often bumped into large dog category. the next step up would have had the muzzle on his eyes - so going against the retailer's suggestion, my judgement was on par.The muzzle is well constructed ... sewing is sturdy he's comfortable with it. SOMEHOW, HIS 'CURRENT/LOST ONE , seemed to disappear! Too funny. My other purchase is being returned, from a mortar and brick store.
