We have several levels but as I get older, it is hard to hold those heavy metal ones in place. This is a great 3 ft. length that when you need it, you need it. I love how light weight it is and know that if I drop it, it will not break my foot! Worth what I spent and have already used it several times.

I bought this because it has a ruler built in, which I wanted (I can't figure out why that isn't a feature of every single large level). I wanted to buy a metal one but this plastic is completely satisfactory, very rigid and robust and also light .This level has crisp almost-sharp edges making it adequate for drawing straight lines (many large levels have edges which are beveled or curved).FWIW I tested it against a shorter level and this one is in fact more accurate: the range of degrees in which this indicates "level" is smaller than the other one I tested.

I first bought this level in July 2019 (for $9) for someone else and it was vital for properly leveling paintings. We taped the paintings and then checked them with the level before drilling and (according to the level) they were perfectly straight! It has now been stored away but should come in handy the next time it is needed. For being a handy little tool found at a great price, the “Mayes 10100 36 Inch Top View Polystyrene Level” [sic] gets a serviceable 3/5 stars!

Exactly what I ordered. Quite suitable for small scale carpentry, masonry and other projects. Bought one for my co-woker as a birthday gift. He loves it. Would recommend to other colleagues.
