Recently I was looking online for a measuring tape in meters. When I receive the Zabiki 25 ft measuring tape it was exactly what I was looking for and then some. I liked it so much I bought three. I keep one at home, one for my workshop and one in my car. I was very surprised to see that it has measurements, both, meters and inches front and back. It’s very nice when buying a simple product and it does much more and for less money. Its comfortable to hold the tape when measuring and lighter than most 25 feet that I’m used to. My wife likes it as well. It is well made and useful for many chores around the house. The locking mechanism is smooth and very easy to use.I’m buying more Zabikis to give as gifts to my friends. For about $10.00 per tape that’s a very smart buy, useful and lifetime present for anyone and everyone.Thank you Zabiki,Jim

My Zabiki 25 ft/7.5 m Measuring Tape is a delight. I also liked my previous tape measure, which was a different brand. I like it that is, until the locking mechanism failed after perhaps 20 or 30 uses, though they were spread over four years. I used it as much in four years as a carpenter would use it in two days. I don't measure things very often. :-)This time I went with the Amazon's Choice tape measure, the Zabiki. It is pretty clear to me why everyone is so ecstatic about it.Speaking of ecstatic, consider the numbers: 95% of the Zabiki's customers fall into the top two voting levels - 5-star and 4-star. That is an unprecedented number, and I almost never see this in a product. If the first two categories total anywhere near 90%, that is outstanding. But to be 95% is remarkable. By contrast, for my previous tape measure, the top *four* levels together didn't even add up to 95%!There are several specific things I like about the Zabiki measure.First and most important is the locking mechanism. It slides down, which is a style of locking that I have found reliable in my 50 years of using tape measures. In the previous tape measure, the button was on top and had to be depressed to lock the tape. Since it is broken, I don't remember how it unlocked. On the Zabiki, I simply slide the switch back up to unlock. You can see these two approaches in the first two photos (the pictures with the tape extended).Next is the button placement. On the Zabiki the button, or slider, falls in a more natural place for my thumb to engage it. Again, the first two photos illustrate the placement and method of engagement very well.The third thing I like is the size of the lettering on the tape. Photos one and two show how much bigger and nicer the Zabiki numbers are.Next, the overall size. Photos three and four show that the Zabiki is svelte.The fifth thing I like is the Zabiki's flat bottom which makes it sits stably. The other tape has an arched bottom, and only touches the surface at two points. See photo three.Last is a petty thing, but I guess I'm picky. So sue me. The Zabiki says on its label that it measures 25 feet or 7.5 meters. The other one just says it is a 25-foot tape, with no reference to the fact that it is also metric. Photo three shows this difference.Just go buy the Zabiki and be done with it, instead of spending an hour reading about all the tape measures on Amazon, as I did. You'll be happy, imho.

This is very early days, but initially like the rubber coating, a deep claw with a pair of tiny rare earth magnets, a reach of just over 100 in. (8 ft. 4 in., 2.54 m.). That was read on a well-marked in English and metric, front and back rule. Resolution is 1/16 in., 1 mm. A nice touch is that the English scale is also marked ft-in after the 1st foot, so that 100 in. can be directly read as 8-5.What I didn't like so much were a very stiff lock. It helped to push inward as down to engage it. Retention is quite poorly implemented. My hands aren't particularly large (I wear medium gloves), but it's a struggle to use the loop with insulated gloves. The too tight belt clip is 7/8 in. (22 mm) wide and intended to close over a belt just under 1 1/8 in. (22 mm), and perhaps 3/16 in. or 3-4 or so mm. I wear a thick wide leather belt to carry a tool pouch. This clip is laughable for that, and is so tight that it would damage many ordinary belts. I won't be removing it for a mod, as it appears to hold the thing together, and there's that internal spring to consider.Lastly, the 1 year warranty was a sticker with poor adhesion. I photographed it as usual. Testing including it in this review.

I needed a tape measure for my grandson to use for his homeschooling science projects and was surprised to find that only 1 of the 7 tape measures we had on hand also had the metric measurements we needed but that one was the one my husband uses for his work. So I ordered this one and it was a great price. I was a little skeptical of how the quality was going to be BUT I was pleasantly surprised that it was sturdy, the with of the tape itself is nice and wide with easy to read numbers, and along with the fact it gives metric measurements the locking device actually works. Plus it's durable enough for a 9 year old to use, drop, snap the tape back in aggressively and still work perfectly. Thanks for a really great product!!

It's a retractable tape measure.What can one possibly say.Let's see....Sound quality on pull out and retraction was excellent.Type size is clear and readable, but not scalable.While you cannot change the color the color is great.Tape measure extends to its full length.Does not work in the dark without an external light source.Enough already.

When locked, it still moves. Good for just measuring but not as a tool
