My partner and I cook with ground beef a lot. This tool works great for breaking up big chunks, especially if the meat was/is frozen. It is a bit tough to properly stir the meat for an even cook with this tool, however once the tool has served its purpose I swap to a spatula to ensure even cooking.

Breaks up ground meat well, but may scratch pans. There is water that gets trapped in the handle after washing in the dishwasher. Also, there is meat that gets caught between the blades.

.. the head just broke right off when I rapped against the bowl to get some crumbs off! Oh, well, back to the big spoon.
