Helpful hints when using a slicer
1. Do not attempt to cut bones. It is very important to only cut food that does not contain bones. This can damage the slicer.
2. Do not cut fully thawed meat (note: the best way to use it is in a half-thawed state). The best texture is almost frozen. This is like slicing a chicken breast into thin slices. Anyone who has tried this knows that it's hard to slice fully thawed meat evenly. The same is true of slicers. Trying to slice food into thin slices doesn't work.
3. Do not wash in the dishwasher. The hard detergents are not suitable for this appliance, instead wash with warm soapy water. And make sure all parts are completely dry before reassembly.
4. During the use of the slicer, please put it on a flat surface.

Works very well slicing cheese that was mainly what I bought it for. Cheese not frozen is hard to slice & this slicer is easy to set up & make very consistent thickness slices. I usually have about 3/8" piece let out of 5# loaf of cheese I usually cut into squares & use in salads

The blade is very sharp & easily cuts the meats I have used it for (none frozen). For that, I expect "half-thawed" would probably be cuttable. Cleanup takes a bit of care. First, the two pieces that keep the meat in place get bits & juice under them & it takes care to loosen them enough & get a sponge/etc. the entire length. Second, I am cautious about the blade coming down on my hand while cleaning it (by me hitting the blade; it is tight & doesn't move on its own). Overall, I am very satisfied & recommend this cutter.

Mine arrived with the plastic attachments on one side completely smashed. it did not look strong and sturdy. I cannot comment on how well it it cleans up ect. but I can say I was not impressed, even had it not arrived broken. I would think it's cheaply made. I returned mine asap. :( still searching for a good one

This product did not work for what I needed - Frozen meat. Maybe it will work better on thawed meat. Absolutely no instructions either!! 👎

I used an electric meat slicer before this and I hated it. I gave this a try and believe it or not, the results are much better compared to the meat slicer I used before.

The cutter seems sturdy enough. I was impressed by the packaging, but I was surprised that the little tray was dented. I guess it had not been secured well.Also, it would be nice to have some instructions on adjustment and cleaning!
