I really like this thermometer. First, there is no on and off button. Just pull the probe out and the thermometer is on. Push the probe in and the thermometer is off. I tend to leave my thermometer on in the drawer and this eliminates draining the battery. Numbers are bright and easy to see. Handle made to fit your hand. So, highly recommend.

I bought this because I have another one that's been packed in the box in a storage unit and I needed a thermometer to check the temperature on the turkey that I cooked in the roaster oven and the durability of this was superb it kept good temperature it's perfect size and that's what I needed.

I bought this to replace my old one. I had been. My old one finally gave up the ghost after several years. I use these mainly when I am using the pit of smoking something. But it helps in the kitchen as well. For the price you can't beat it. It also has a magnetic so you stick it on the fridge.
