Application:
The dots are small dots inlaid on the guitar fretboard for the convenience of identifying the different frets. Many guitars have dots marked on the side of the neck in addition to the dots on the fretboard. It is beneficial for guitar beginners to better practice the guitar.

sizing as described. drilled fretboard with 6mm Brad point, and popped each one in snugly. since it is rather soft acrylic, be aware of using aggressive media when sanding as score marks become tougher to progressively remove.
