I prefer this design over the genuine Fender thumb rest/tugbar. The Fender version has sharp corners and is flimsier. This thumb rest is a bit more rigid and features rounder edges. It actually looks and feels more vintage to me, and it's a great addition to making my bass look more retro. The screw holes are perfectly spaced to match Fender specs.
