These black candles were just what I was looking for, to add to the black pillar candle holders that I bought for a Halloween dinner table. They are solid black, with a slight pattern to them, and are a good size! I would easily buy them, again, since they were a reasonable price.

I don't know what other people are complaining about. I read the reviews that said this was small and burned quickly, but I was getting it as a vigil candle, so I figured if it lasted the length of the service, that was fine, and if it ended up burning longer, that was great. First of all, it was a nice size. It fit very nicely on a little saucer and burned very well. At the end of the evening (after about two hours) it had only barely started, so I put it in a safe place and let it keep burning. It burned a good thirty hours, and though there was a little wax ring and the gold coating left at the end (I think it might have actually been some kind of metal compound) it was pretty well completely consumed. I definitely recommend it, especially as a vigil candle.

This candle is not mega. It’s small. And does not burn well. Gold is just a coating on the outside and wax drips out and makes a mess.

I took off one star bc they have marks on them and the gold isn’t solid bc of it.

I used these in lanterns at my wedding, and they worked great! They had a tiny bit of the smell that a lot of black candles do, but not nearly as bad as some other brands I tried, and it's not noticeable at all from more than like a foot away. They stayed lit for hours!
