The Meinl Backbeat Bass Cajon packs a big low-end "thump". Its extra-deep bass comes from a factory-installed ported sound hole on back that boosts low end frequencies. Think “kick drum”. Two fixed internal snare sets give you a crisp snare effect to mimic drum set grooves. The playing surface is made of hardwood for warm tone and sensitive snare response. It’s finished in a graphic “Cassette Tape” design. Modern composite is used for the body to have durability and clear tone. This material is great at reflecting sound, so your notes project. I play live music in Alaska. Alot of acoustic players are solo performers, and most venues are smaller in my area. This drum box sounds awesome in an acoustic setting, and it is very well built. Fun to play, and I really like the graphics on the front (jack of spades)
