  • ORGANIZES EVERYTHING: multiple internal pockets compartmentalize drumsticks, brushes, mallets, multi-rods, spare parts, and tools; the common sense pocket layout makes it easy to section out different types of gear so you can grab what's needed quickly
  • WHY IT MATTERS: travel's a cinch when you can carry all your gear and tools in one unit; plus, it's a life-saver during performance having the bag open next to you to replace a broken stick or switch to brushes/mallets on the fly
  • ZOOM IN: pockets are sewn with a gusset that expands generously as you put more gear in them; this gives you extra room to load additional pairs of sticks
  • MATERIALS: the bag is made with rugged 600D polyester and a PVC backing to give the bag more shape; this thick, low-stretch, durable material is built like a tank for heavy road use; heavy-duty zippers glide easily
  • TWO CARRY OPTIONS: equipped with a removable, adjustable length shoulder strap (hands-free) and two reinforced carrying handles to grab-and-go quickly; the handles and strap are stitched to accommodate heavy loads
  • ONE BIG THING: you can hang the bag on a drum with its adjustable floor tom hooks; these synthetic hooks latch onto drum tension rods so you can position the bag right next to you while playing
  • BY THE NUMBERS: nine internal pockets (varying sizes), one large external pocket (11" D x 6" W); bag measures 18.5" W x 18.5" L when opened
  • THE TAKEAWAY: easily transitions from a rugged travel companion to access-forward storage on the gig; a commonsense pocket layout sorts sticks, brushes, mallets, multi-rods, accessories, and tools

MEINL stick bags offer plenty of room for you to carry multiple pairs of sticks, mallets, and brushes - whatever you need for a successful gig or rehearsal. The external pockets are great for storing drum accessories like keys, felts, and miscellaneous tools for on the spot fixes. These carrying bags are durable enough for even the toughest of road warriors. It is part of Meinl's mission to ensure easy transportation and protection of your instruments and gear.

I've owned a number of stick bags in my life, and functionally, they serve two purposes:1 - Hold all the sticks and small accessories I need to transport around with the rest of my gear, safely and efficiently.2 - Hang on a floor tom within quick reach, in case I drop a stick or need to swap to brushes/rods/mallets/etc.This bag fits the bill nicely. I didn't want something too huge, nor did I want to be stuck with something that only holds a few pair of sticks. The extra tiered pockets allow for a stick to be loosely pulled from the bag on the fly, while the larger compartments hold plenty of reinforcements. Construction is a 9/10, made from a heavy Cordura. Latches and fixtures are sturdy, velcro used is beefy, and the zipper is robust [albeit a bit stiff...it'll need some breaking in]. Hanging hooks and cord are thick and easy to adjust. A small tasteful Meinl logo doesn't betray its minimalist appearance. My only real gripe is due to the fantastic choice of materials, it's got some heft for something that your sticks ride in.Overall, it's the most well thought out stick bag I've seen for under $60 [let alone $20]. I've handled many other comparable bags, and it blows them out of the water in terms of functionality, design, and sheer construction quality.

Since travelling with a performing group I have always been on the lookout for the perfect stick bag. I'll always have trouble calling something perfect because a truly perfect stick bag would carry all of the sticks that they sell, be as tough as a road case, as light a one pair of sticks, and would float mid air NEAR your floor tom... not quite possible even for the folks at Meinl. This bag has plenty of room for lots of sticks for the player who needs something for everything (I carry about 10 pairs of sticks, 2 sets of brushes and 2 sets of standard mallets). The bag's thickness is possibly one of its best features. It carries all of these with no problem at all.All finishes, the strap, handles, zipper, front pocket, inside pockets, and padding are quite high quality. All of them have lasted me for a few months and thats usually the threshold at which other bags have failed. I have carried a ProMark bag rigged with a duct tape loop instead of a strap clip and both DW and Zildjian bags that the top was open at all times due to zipper problems. I feel safe in saying that this bag will stand the test of time whether its in the hands of the music student, garage band player, local venue player, or even a traveling player.I am so glad I've found the bag for me at a price that won't make me cringe. This bag is easily the best for the money and very surely on the top of the shortlist of bags to consider when purchasing.

I ordered this after the zipper and handle on my flimsy vic firth bag broke and it is SO MUCH BETTER! It was able to hold 2 pairs of marimba mallets, bass 5 mallets, 3 pairs of Marching sticks, 5 pairs of concert sticks, timp mallets, brushes, as well as all of the extra sticks I would pick up after my section of high school freshmen. There is a pocket on the inside for a pitch pipe, and smaller ones for pencils. The outside pocket was great for stick tape, a drum key, and girly essentials like Chapstick and hair ties. The handle is well made, and the strap is even better! On days when you're taking home text books, a coffee mug, lunch box and a uniform, the strap came in handy because it just went over your shoulder and by your side. I absolutely love this stick bag, it is SO well made and definitely worth the price. It was cheaper than my vic firth bag that fit less and broke after a year. I suggested it to my whole section. I used this bag all of senior year and it's coming to college this year. I am SO in love! This bag is great for beginners, or for pros. I love it.

Heavy material, strong zipper, plenty of room for sticks, mallets, etc. Would buy again. A good product for the money.

Overall design is good, but it doesn't hold as many sticks as I anticipated. The organization is OK, but the pockets are a bit tight and short, so sticks fall out pretty easily and I have to keep an eye out for when I'm opening it. The pockets for storing small stuff like drumkeys and pencils are tight and it can be hard to get stuff in and out. Durable.Would I buy it again? Yes. Would I comparison shop first? Yes.

Great bag! Cavernous! Adaptable for many instruments of this size. I use mine to hold my bagpipe practice chanter (with sole), various keys (sizes) of tin (penny) whistles, my knee size drum pad with strap, my metronome, and several pairs of drumsticks all at once. Though it can get heavy with that much in it, that is not the fault of the bag.It is well padded, protecting my various instruments and accessories well.I have traveled with it and it stood up to the rigors of travel with nary a blemish.Zippers are of good quality and open from both sides. Nice zipper pulls. The connections for connecting to a Tom drum seem like they will stand up to good use, though I have not tested that aspect as I use it mostly for transporting my supplies when I travel.
