I bought this to have at our cabin in the woods for when the grandkids visit. Kids are aged 4-9. All enjoyed the indoor and outdoor adventure of seeking out the chosen items. Materials are well-made. A very good buy!

This Scavenger Game is AWESOME!! My 5 & 7 yr old grandkids LOVED to play this!! I just wish they sold more different sets of the cards so they wouldn’t have to be repeated. The bag with pockets to hold the cards works perfect. Creates good memories as they “hunt†for the items. Love seeing kids be kids!!

Great toy. Had a lot of fun, but the timer didn't really work barely made a sound and it lasted like a second. Also one of our cards came with a piece cut out of it. Not sure how that happened

We're a game-playing family and we keep our eyes open for "games" we can play with the very youngest children in our big family. So, we already have a pre-school "scavenger hunt" set that is made up of a set of colorful cards of things we might find around a back yard or a park. We "draw" those cards and go in search of the appropriate items, sometimes doing this in "teams" if the very youngest are part of the mix.Well, this set from Melissa and Doug goes far beyond what we've already got in our game closet!First, this is both indoor and outdoor. We've got an existing "outdoor" game set of cards, but sometimes we would like to play "scavenger hunt" inside. Well, this set easily can be sorted for either option.Then, with our existing set, we go in search of maybe one or two items, holding the cards in our hands or a pocket. This set provides 2 tote bags with clear pockets to easily display what we're trying to find. Wonderful idea!There's a timer with a range of settings up to 10 minutes. Of course, we've always generally "timed" our searching, but this is more convenient.And, of course, as you find items, you can pop them into the tote to carry back to the group.A couple of helpful suggestions:First, remember this set only comes with 2 totes. It would have been nice to offer an expansion pack of additional totes, so more than 2 individuals or teams can play. If you know you want to organize more than 2 teams, you could consider ordering two sets right away, but you're paying full price twice. Maybe if this set catches on, Melissa and Doug will offer an inexpensive pack of totes to expand the play.Second, the game can get a little messy. Consider the card "pine branch." We had a child grab a pretty large, dead pine branch in a muddy part of the lawn and try to stuff it into the tote. Fortunately these bags clean up pretty well. Or consider the card "something that smells good." We had a bag come back doused with perfume. That bag's likely to smell sweet for a while.Even if you have a bit of cleaning to do afterward, it's still a very fun experience!

These scavenger hunt bags are adorable! They are the perfect size for little hands to carry and collect nature or other items.The cards that come with it offer a great variety of objects to search for. I do wish that the pockets had clear plastic covering the opening, as the cards can easily slip out. So for that reason, I give it a 4.5 rating.Overall, Melissa and Doug do it again with a great quality product!

My kiddo just loved searching for different things around the neighborhood and around the house. There are many cards in the pack which can be used to find different things all the time. It keeps the kids entertained for hours and can make travel time way easier. Highly recommend!
