I have 3 and 5-yr-old sons who are very motivated by positive reinforcement. This board reminds me to call out good behavior and reminds them in a tangible way that they’re doing a great job. We started using this board (one for each kid) in tandem with a weekly family meeting and a small allowance, contingent upon earning their stars. The behavioral changes I’ve seen in my 5-year-old, especially, are astonishing. My 3-year-old does what he sees big brother doing, so he’s doing great too. They are saying please and thank you without prompting, cleaning up their toys as soon as they’re done playing with them, and playing together with far fewer arguments than before. My older son is having a far easier time regulating his emotions, as well! With the help of this chart/board, I have sweet, happy, respectful little boys, and I’m just so grateful. In addition to all of the awesome improvements I’ve seen in my sons’ behavior, this board is high quality, well-priced, and easy to use. I highly recommend it!

We got this for our very independent but helpful 3yr old. It's been a great way to help him organize himself and help him make choices for working towards his goal/reward.

My girls love getting to mark off their chores with this magnetic chore chart! It has great tiles for typical chores with the option to add your own specific ones. They love putting up their magnets every night and the chart is cute and durable. I will say, it’s very heavy so keep that in mind when deciding where to hang it and use the appropriate weighted hanger cause it can pull command hooks down if not the right size is used.

I really like this item. It’s a lot better than the other calendar item from Melissa and Doug, which I think has way too many things going on at once and far too many magnets. It has a lot of good suggestions for behaviors and chores, and I love that it can grow with your child. It has things as simple as brushing your teeth and sharing, all the way to putting your clothes in the wash and loading the dishwasher. It’s perfect for my five-year-old and will probably be useful for several years. One thing to Note is that there are only seven chores/behaviors per week, so we had to really think about what was most important to us. It also has fill in the blank magnets, which I think is pretty nice.I love that this is done on magnetic whiteboard’s as well. We do a commission system with our child, so it’s easy to keep up with how much she has earned on the lower whiteboard.I only wish that it had come with drawstring bags to keep the magnets that haven’t been used or are in rotation inside of. I don’t like cluttering up the lower board with unused magnets, but that is an option.Overall,I would recommend this product! It’s effective, simple, and my daughter gets a big kick out of picking out her positive result magnets.

We use this to help motivate our son both at home and at school. We assigned each task a point value. At the end of the day, we tally the points for the tasks he completed and write the total next to his name with a dry erase marker. On Saturday, he gets a payout (in fake paper money) of the amount of points he got for the week, and we have a list of activities or items he can “buy†with his point money (eg. movie night, a special treat, dinner out, etc.). Items on the list are assigned different amounts so he can save up point money for a big item, or spend his points weekly on smaller items. We use “hands to ourselves†and “show respect†for school behavior and his teacher reports back if he used the accommodations they provide versus acting out in class. This system has helped give him positive motivation to succeed and learn new self regulation skills at school and at home. As a bonus it also starts the conversation around money management and furthers his math skills. If there is a particular behavior that needs more work, assign it more points for greater motivation. I used one of the blank pieces include for “get ready for school with no tears†and gave it the highest point value of all his daily tasks and it helps him to get ready in the mornings and stay on task, and motivate him when he doesn’t want to go to school. For parents who are navigating adhd for the first time without any idea what to do, ideas like this can really help. It gets easier!

I bought this for my grandkids and they love putting up the chores on the magnetic board, and it’s proven to help with getting to pick out a small toy or earn money. I’ve never been disappointed by Melissa & Doug products. They are all made very well !

This toy is great to encourage my kid to be more responsible. Every week he is excited go switch up the tasks. Kids love to be over achievers and so he tries to get a badge for each task! There are also blank tabs and you can fill it in with your own task.

This board is great ! My daughter uses it every day. She is non verbal and it helps her see and understand what's expected of her. She also loves being able to put down a 'good job' magnet when she completes a task .

On appearance it seems really sturdy and well made, it's nice that there are some blank magnets for you to customise. It is pretty big and bulky, it's hanging on a door using a command hook. We have had it a couple of weeks and today I noticed one of the magnets (one we don't use so it hasn't been fiddled with) had fallen apart. The magnetic bit was still on the board but the picture half of the magnet was in the floor, nothing some superglue won't put right but it does make me wonder about the longevity of the product.

Awesome buy my child loves to get stars as incentives it’s better than buying them chocolates or punishing them actually works .reducing stars for not following responsibilities is symbolic punishment n u don’t feel guilty for being too harsh on kids plus children gets motivated to perform well so self motivation is achieved by kids on their own performance !!!!five stars must have recommend to buy it in special discounts sale time to get maximum discount.

Kids have fun putting the magnets and motivate them to be on their best behavior. Link this to some rewards each week and it more or less works.
