We used this as part of a table decoration for the guest book sign in at a memorial service. Fair quality for the price point, the remote is a handy feature. Like that you can set the incremental timer and that will repeat at the same time every day, ex: turn on 4hr. timer at 4pm, it will run until 8pm then shut off. The following day, the unit will turn on again at 4pm and run until 8pm. The lantern is lightweight and would be suitable as a small "gift" to someone who lost a loved one or is grieving, to show you care. Recommend.
