My only issue with these pants are the waist is a little smaller than anticipated. Not too elastic around that part but fits great otherwise. Also, if you have an issue with the strings by the ankle, you could simply take them out. I was running into issues of stepping on them, but you hardly notice the holes after removing

They are extremely comfortable and fits my husband perfectly. For the price the are great and they are light weight and the material is amazing for him to work and the pockets are perfect.

For starters, I'm not a consumer of hiking pants so I don't know if these pants are the standard. I saw cargo pants and hiking and jogging and thought it would be a good thing for me as I"m a very active person. With that said, what I like about these is the material. It's very comfortable and breathable and lightweight. It fits as expected around the waist and I like the drawstring so I don't have to deal with a belt. I also like the cargo pockets. Best of all, these are very inexpensive considering the comfort and quality of the material. But there are aspects I don't like and/or could be improved upon. While these fit as expected around the waist, they are not very long. They come to about my ankle or a little above (what I referred to as "floods" as a kid). This could be just what real hiking pants are? Also, there is a drawstring/lace at the bottom of each pant leg. I'm not sure what those are for (again, maybe what real hiking pants have?) but if they aren't tied up, the dangling gets really annoying. And they're kind of a hassle to tie up. A couple of the ends are frayed leading me to think they went budget-friendly with these. Also, if you ride a bike, these will get caught in the gear even if they are tied up. I may just pull them out of the hem altogether. For the cargo pockets, I like they are plenty deep, but there is nothing to keep the flap closed....no velcro or snap or button. That may be ok for hiking, but when I'm driving I'm feeling like my phone or wallet will fall out of them. Also if you have anything of any weight, the cargo pockets rub along the outer knee joint and just below, which is an annoying feeling. The regular pockets are pretty shallow which means there's not much you can put in them without worrying about it falling out. Also there are no back pockets, which isn't a huge deal, but given the unsecured cargo pockets and shallow waist pockets, it would be nice to have a pocket in the back. With all that said, for the price, these are really comfortable and great for around the house.

I’ve had to have both pairs stitched twice and the seamstress specifically said they weren’t stitched correctly to begin with and the fabric quality is low quality therefore will fray and continue to fray.

You get what you paid for. It's from China so what do you expect. It's not so durable when being rubbed against. But it holds firm enough, no tears or breakage. Color does not hold up well. Fails easily if wet or rubbing on somthing time after time. I had rain drip on it for 3 days one week and it's color is faded. I wasn't outside in rain getting soaked. It just hit the thighs a little and already fadeding. The crotch area is loosing strength as I bike twice to work with the pants on. It doesn't hold up well with constant rubbing. I no longer use the pants for daily life. Just outings. But looks good. Fits good.

The pants material is nice and the right size that was all my concern, for I ready get a pair and they are real comfortable.
