This set of woodsy/cologne scented candles deliver an attractive aroma that is robust and powerful. The scent from a single candle emits enough fragrance to fill a decent size room. The tantalizing essence and the ambient flicker of the steady flame, set the mood for romance and intimacy. Made with a strong, midnight black glass casing and filled with a smooth, creamy white wax, these luminary flames encapsulate a sense of peace, tranquility and warmth to my home. The durable materials used ensure me that they will not crack or break under heat pressure as I've had other candles do in the past. Their flame life is substantial, lasting many hours and burning evenly right up to the end of the wick. The wick is placed securely in the wax and is made to burn consistently and evenly so there is no lighting and relighting the scented flames. The individual fragrances are all very different and fitting to their names. I personally enjoy the woodsier smells like cedarwood and sandalwood as they permeate a warm and smoky undertone, creating a rich and grounding scent. The smoked vanilla brings a calming essence with its smooth and slightly sweet fume. The pine tar has a rugged or leathery scent that reminds me of a manly or bold body spray. The final candle, bay rum resembles a hazelnut smell. This one I feel is more pungent than the others. I found this set to be a great White Elephant gift. All the cand,es have a nice aroma to them and they are all housed in a nice gift box.The price is pretty good, and I would compare to a trip to one of the candle stores at the mall as far as pricing goes.Well worth picking up for yourself or as a gift!

Really nice smelling candles and nice sleek look. They all smell fantastic, but I think the rum/pine is my favorite scent. These make great gifts or a restock of your own supply.

The set includes four scents: Lavender & Cedarwood, Bay Rum, Pine Tar, and Smoke & Vanilla. I was curious to see how the different scents would be received, so I set them out for everyone to try.The consensus among the men was pretty clear—Pine Tar was their favorite by far. It's got a deep, earthy, almost rugged scent that definitely felt masculine and strong. On the other hand, the Lavender & Cedarwood scent was a bit of a miss with them. It’s more floral and calming, so it didn’t quite resonate with the guys. But here’s the twist—the women absolutely loved the Lavender & Cedarwood! In fact, it was their favorite, with Smoke & Vanilla coming in at a close second.It was funny to see how the same scents played out so differently with the two groups. The Pine Tar scent, which the men loved, was a total turnoff for the women, while they were all about the Lavender. It’s pretty clear that whoever made this set really nailed the balance of what appeals to each group.I joked that maybe they could swap out the Lavender for something like "lawnmower gas" or "fresh cut grass" to make it even more perfect for the guys! But in all seriousness, this set is a fantastic gift for anyone who enjoys a variety of scents, whether they prefer something earthy, smoky, or a bit more floral. It was definitely a conversation starter and a fun part of our party!

So the packaging and boxing of the candles were great, they smell great, and they have been lasting a long time. However as others have mentioned, the wicks are not wood. And they have now changed the description, but at the time of purchasing the description was different. There's nothing more annoying on Amazon than sellers doing this bait and switch type of move. So while the product is great, I'm deducting two stars because of what they did. The description as of right now looks accurate to what I got, but who knows if they may change it again.
