Bought for my trip to Playa Del Carmen. I love the design and they feel and look great. Also, this shorts make me look fit. A good buy.

So I ordered my normal size in these cargo shorts and found the elastic band on them to be a bit much. I typically wear a size 40, ordered a size 40, and these shorts feel like a size 44. I probably could have easily gone down to a size 36 and been fine. However, since I did not test this I would at least recommend 1 size down from your normal to start. I normally do not wear a belt with shorts, but I felt compelled to do so here given the extra waist room the elastic band affords.Outside of the larger-than-average size discrepancy, the rest of the item was as depicted. The material was comfortable and the build quality seems fairly sturdy. The color I saw on my screen was the same as what I received. I do have a color-accurate screen though, so you may notice some color variation if your screen is not rated very highly for color accuracy.Outside of the above elements only one thing threw me off. I really could not understand why these have blousing strings on the legs. This is one of those areas where the designers likely just copied the old cargo pant aesthetics, which include the blousing strings, and put them into a shorts format. A case where they copied over items without understanding the whole point of blousing strings being related to tucking the pant leg into boots. I guess they may be going for those tech pant styles that become skinny at the calf/crew sock area, but here it just makes me feel like they are trying to be like old-fashioned pantaloons.Considering the sizing being too large and the blousing straps making zero sense, I give these a respectable 3 out of 5. They are usable with a belt even if the sizing is off.
