I fixed a Living Accents patio heater (#4587390) with this thermocouple. I originally bought the heater from ACE hardware, used it very few times and have had frustrating issues. (I don't recommend this model of heater because of its faulty and peculiar components as mentioned below, by the way.) First the anti-tipping safety switch failed, shutting down the gas because the heater thought it had been tipped all the time. (I bypassed the switch with the wiring; there are many videos on how to do it.) Second, the thermocouple apparently failed because the heater would turn off after a minute or two after having been lit, presumably because the defective thermocouple would not be able to rely to the valve the signal that the fire was on producing heat, which would have kept the gas flowing. Now, this heater model has (apparently) a very unusual thermocouple, threaded at both ends, with M8 (fine pitch) thread at the head and M9 (also fine pitch) at the valve end. It was nearly impossible for me to find a replacement. This MENSI thermocouple did work, although not designed for a patio heater, because it has a matching M9 thread at the end (without using any of the adapters provided with the kit), and despite having an M6 (instead of M8) thread at the head. All I needed was to get two M6 nuts (with matching thread pitch) to lock the head in place at the same height as the original thermocouple and now the heater works. Of course, this kind of thermocouple does not have an additional wire to the anti-tipping switch (which I had already disconnected anyway), because it has been designed for a different application. So, if fire hazard resulting from tipping the heater is a concern, this solution might not work. (It might be possible to wire an additional cable from the head to the end of the thermocouple via the anti-tipping switch, as in the original thermocouple, but I am not sure.) This solved a frustrating problem for me, and hopefully it will be of help to others as well.

The old one (23 years) seemed to not work anymore.Replacement did not help, the problem was with solenoid. But at least now I have a new Thermocouple for the years to come,
