This spoon is about as big as the palm of my hand. It is well made and worth its weight for the price. I needed a smaller (7") spoon, so I reordered the smaller spoon. These are super handy for scooping out food in water such as vegetables, hard-boiled eggs, or tea bags. I squeeze a hot tea bag between this, and another spoon. It saves on time and from burning myself.

I keep buying this spoon! Sturdy, attractive, and useful. I use it for plating, as a serving spoon, and also to baste while roasting or sauteing. I also use it when needing to gently fold in ingredients. I have two in my drawer, two in my traveling knife kits, and I have purchased a couple for friends. Writing this review will probably prompt me to buy another.

I bought these Mercer Culinary 18-8 Stainless Steel Plating Spoon, 9 Inch length to take stuff out of jars, and bottles, and these spoon work great, and everyone loves them.

This has a handle that is not too long for fine control. The bowl has a great size, shape and taper and the edge is beveled to a nice edge that is not too thick. The stainless seems fairy sturdy, but time will tell if the handle is thick enough to stand up to heavy use. It looks like it will hold up, but I would feel more confident if the handle was just a bit thicker. All in all, it is a nice tool that will get the job done, probably for years, but I expected a slightly heavier-duty handle at this price point.

High quality. Finish seems to be holding up after hard use at the stove and at family gatherings.Not your grandma's wooden spoon, so don't hit people with this. That's dangerous!

I use this spoon to baste with 5 days a week 10 hrs a day at work. I've probably basted 1000 fish with it and it still looks brand new and never lets me down. I got the rose gold finish and it hasn't chipped or peeled at all which I thought it might. Perfect size for basting or plating, highly recommend.

I find this spoon useful for draining juices from vegetables when serving them so the whole plate doesn’t get watery.

I bought this spoon to get tinned fruit out of the tin, also sweetcorn and other such things. My slotted spoon is too big to fit. I chose the rose gold colour to match rose gold accents in my kitchen which it does very well. It does the jobs I wanted it to do well and is also beautiful to look at so I store it in the black cup containing my measuring spoons which are then handy when needed. A little expensive for a spoon but excellent quality and worth it and so am I. I am very pleased and would highly recommend.
