The hole was too small, but drilled it out to fit. Worked like it was supposed to then.

Both ends were to big..the nut size and the other end had to be grinded down with a grinder and file to make both ends work..Item is made in China..Shipper.really needs to check out their product.

I was excited to get my boat in the water, but when I received the socket, I was slightly disappointed hence three stars. The centre hole that goes over the spine shaft was at 64th smaller than the shaft not a big deal having to open it up to three eights, but having to do that, I give them three stars. I did not contact the company.
