Installed on my well system, just ahead of my Jet pump.So it's job is stop flow going back into the water storage tank. Make sure to use good thread dope or dope and teflon tape to get a good water tight seal on the threadswith only some pipe dope it leaked the first time I added teflon tape to the male therads going into this valve, then added pipe dope to the brass threads in the valve, this combination provided a good seal.

I was installing this on top of my submersible pump that sits about 175 feet deep. I did not want to chance a no name brand although I am not sure I would be able to tell if one failed. But this is a no lead version that I needed since it is a potable system so I am happy with it.

I bought this check valve as a spare for my jet pump well setup. I put together a kit to replace the plumbing to the pump in case the valve should go's bad and this valve looks as good as the original. Hope I don't need it but if the original goes bad on a Sunday morning, I can be up and running again without too much down time. Machining looks good on the inside.
