I needed a metric tap to fix a bad thread on the leg of a desk chair. Worked fine and now I have a set of metric taps.

I needed this to re-thread the license plate holes on my Honda Odyssey thanks to a dealer who had put sheet metal screws in it previously . It was perfect. It cut through the metal threads like butter and was done with the job in two minutes. For $9 I don’t expect the taps to last but for a few jobs buy it.

I used this to chase some valve cover threads out on some Mustang heads and to repair one hole that was damaged. It did a great job and the threads were clean and accurate afterwards. The T handle isn't the greatest however. It took some effort to tighten on the tap and the cross handle has no detent, so it falls out easily. Overall though it worked well for the job I put it to.

Had threading issue with piece of shelving leg, this fixed it right up. Came with other sizes, only used the M6-1.0, and it worked well for what I need.

I don't expect much from a $10 tap set, but I do expect that the parts fit together. This set fails even that most basic test. Specifically, I needed to clean out the threads in an M3 hole in my 3d printer. The provided tap handle is so bad that it can't even grip the m3 tap. Returning.

I was cleaning up some delicate aluminum threads on a wheel with this. It almost made them too loose. These are Sharp and don't mess about. Good tools.

The taps are okay. The handle was worthless, though. Would not hold the smaller taps and the bar was so loose that it kept falling out every time you picked it out. It went right in the trash. I have other, better tap handles.

This is close to useless. The chuck is to small for the three smallest taps and won't tighten enough to get a good grip on them. The chuck just spins around them.
