Had a rope leash I that was showing signs of wear (mainly due to puppy chewing it). Decided to try and create new loop with this part. Worked perfectly and super secure! Came with two pieces so I’ll be able to repair again in the future if she chews through it again. Used a pair of locking pliers to close the clasps tight followed by a few hits from a hammer to make sure it was secure.

These metal rope clamps are well made from the right materials for their purpose. They are straightforward to apply although you need a decent mole or other squeezing hand wrench to do so, and a little bit of practice to perfect your technique. But they work. I used them to loop 12mm jute rope around a horizontal fence pole to hold up heavy long boxes (150cm) of earth. No sign of slippage or rope fraying, splitting, or debraiding and it looks great. Just what was needed.

club flag pole rope broke needed clips to repair it .saw them bought them fitted them job done

I ordered the 5/8, which explicitly states it is 5/8†total and meant for two 5/16 ropes. The clamps I received were 1⅛ wide and WAY too big for my 8.2mm rope. Super disappointing.
