After trying the hand grip pliers-type setter with horrible luck, I purchased this set. I didn’t want to make the investment of the high-priced item setter (you all know the one) that had mixed reviews so I was frustrated. At a journal making workshop the instructors all used this set. The eyelets were perfect size and so many colors it was difficult for me to pick out which to use. I tried them as soon as they arrived and my Crop a dile worked great with them. It comes with tools and I can take them when I have a craft day with my sisters.

I have exterior pillows that needed ties so they wouldn't blow away, the hole maker would not make the holes in the cloth and the eyelet bases were to small shanked and to attach the eyelet for the shoestring to pit through. Hoping I can use 600 eyelets somewhere else.

This is my first time installing eyelets and this kit has everything I need. The case is is flimsy but arrived intact, and at this price point I didn't expect a sturdy case anyway. I was mostly concerned with whether they'd work and be easy to install, and they do and are. I used a rubber mallet but I think a regular hammer would also work fine. They look nice, seem secure, and serve their purpose. My first use was for drawstring holes on a pouch I'm making, pictured here, but I plan to use them for other things as well. Will update my review if I run into any issues.

does come with alot of eyelets but the hole punch does not work well and you do end up wasting alot of the eyelets they do not connect.
