these axel caps work just fine but if you need to replace one you will need extra, as they do not want to come off with out breaking unless you are lucky

Needed to secure a wheel on my trash can after an overzealous sanitation engineer threw my trashcan and busted the end cap off the axle.I tried everything to get the wheel to stay on. Then as a last ditch effort i tried searching for an axel end cap for a trash can and boom!This thing is exactly what I needed! Fits perfectly and couldn't be easier to install.I love Amazon!!

These are shaft caps. You hammer them on, they stay put. Not much you can say about them. These were way over priced though ($4.50/ea), and one was dented when it arrived (not sure how you do that to one of these) so I sent them back and used shaft clamps instead. The shaft clamps were actually less expensive and work better anyway. On a whim, I checked a local hardware store and found the shaft caps for $.69/each.

Put this on the axle of a large garbage container to hold on the wheel.Went on very tight, and is still holding .

This is not the way the ad looked when I first purchased.. Ad changed the very next day without notice.. There are many reviews stating the change and real quantity.. this is for ONE end cap and it is cold zinc plated with plating peeling off NOT good quality for sure and not worth 4,50 EACH.. Total rip off.. Better product and price available just do a search..

I ordered two so I could replace the wheels on my dolly and they worked perfectly on the 5/8†axle! So glad I finally found the parts I needed!
