I wasn't sure what to expect but it turned out great. Comes in 3 pieces that screw together with about an inch of fine threads. I had just a little trouble with one thread loosening a bit each time I probed but since I had no intention of disassembling the rod, I took it back apart and used Red Loctite on the threads and put it back together. Problem solved. No reason to pay more for a different probe as this one will do the job you need it to do.

This is a really helpful tool. That it can be flexible in length is also really great. The main issue I have with it is that the section unscrew constantly and it gets loose, falls apart easily.

This ting unscrews every three jabs. No matter how tight you screw it together, this was poorly made and is definitely not worth purchasing.
