Five stars for the product, itself. It made for a simple speaker replacement in a 97 Ford E350. I have no idea if these cause any signal loss or in any other way change the sound quality; to my ears the speakers sound better than the factory units, and I didn't have to cut the OEM wiring harness.ZERO stars for the product description and ZERO stars for the Amazon "does it fit" utility. Both suggest that these do not fit my vehicle. Looked exactly like the set sold locally for twice the price, so I emailed Metra to ask if this is the correct adapter.Yes it is, and Metra answered the email within 15 minutes. Can't ask for more.If you're replacing speakers in a 97 Ford truck or van, this is the adapter you need, and Metra has very good customer support. Can't say much nice about the parts finder or the product description, though.UPDATE: Now I have another problem with Amazon on this item. Needed a second set. Clicked through the link on Recent orders and ended up buying from a third-party vendor, not the Amazon offering I had previously purchased. When I recieved my order confirmation email, I saw the problem - the item was $2 cheaper, but the shipping charges equalled the unit cost of the harness (and would arrive late) - and tried to cancel the order online, but couldn't. Have to wait for an email response from the vendor.Why does Amazon do this third-party vendor crap? Customer service didn't know, just that it's done automatically. Insanity! Madness!So be very, very careful. This item is offered both by Amazon and through Amazon, and shipping is faster and cheaper there. Amazon is not doing itself or their customers any favors with auto-linking to third-party sites with Draconian return policies, no telephone numbers, and B-S shipping rates.I give Amazon MINUS 10 Stars for their support on this order, and the vendor MINUS 500 Stars for over-pricesd shipping and for not having a telephone number.A pox on both their houses!

I can tell you these do work with a 97 Ranger. Intalling my speakers was so easy with these. Both ends are perfect fit for the truck and speakers. Just plug N play. Thats it. Saved me the headache of cutting wires and messing up the factory harness. They seem a tad high on pricing but still worth it BIG TIME.Only complaint I have is Amazons " DOES IT FIT ". They said it wouldn't fit my 97 Ranger. YES IT DOES. I even went to the manufactures website and it does say it fits and it DOES. So go to the manufactures website and look up which part # first otherwise you will be passing up what you need thats right in front of you.

Made life so easy upgrading from stock speakers to aftermarket on 98' F150 Single Cab. It came in a Nice plastic bag packaging and after looking at it better it really is high quality through and through!. Quality made terminal connectors fit perfectly on my new speakers back (1xsmall 1xbig) and other end clipped perfectly into Factory OEM Ford plugand even the Wire thickness/wire jacket was the same size if not slightly better!. Im glad I bought these it made life so easy for install No Cutting Wires just Plug & Play!

Seems like Amazon and Crutchfield are incorrect when recommending which speaker harness fits the front door speakers for a 99 F-350. This product worked perfectly for my truck. Extremely easy to use, just pop the leads on the speaker end onto the aftermarket speakers (in my case, Kenwood) and then plug the other end into the factory plug in the door. Not sure if Ford used different connectors on various F-350 models between 99-04 but for my 99 F-350 crew cab these did the trick!

Amazon is incorrect, this IS the correct wiring harness for the 98 Ford Ranger. Crutchfield even said this was the correct one, and sure enough these fit ALMOST perfectly for my rear speakers after having to hard wire the fronts after Amazon gave us the wrong harness for the vehicle. Seems Amazon should follow notes from professionals, not just hearsay.The harness adapter is great, so this review is for the actual product. This makes plug- and play easier, HOWEVER,I found that either the negative or posItive terminal on the adapter was too small for my Rockford Fosgate Punch speakers. To be clear, it wasn't both. I can't remember which terminal it was. But if you can do electrical work, all you have to do is get a larger terminal piece and wire it to the harness. DIY aside, these work as they should. Do as you see fit with your given vehicle.

Este juego de arnés permite realizar la instalación de bocinas 'aftermarket' a tu automóvil de manera rápida y fácil, tan fácil como desconectar las bocinas de fabrica y conectar este arnés, evitando hacer el clásico corte y pelado del cable de fabrica, ademas del empate que muchos instaladores acostumbran hacer por no conocer este producto.La única cuestión a resaltar es que puede que los conectores negativo y positivo de este arnés, no sean compatibles con todas las bocinas ya que algunas traen adaptadores rápidos para el cable pelado, por lo cual en este caso habrá que remover los conectores y usarlos directamente.Fuera de eso, estoy satisfecho por la facilidad de reemplazar las bocinas con la ayuda de este arnés de Metra.

These allowed me to keep the OEM speaker harness intact when replacing the OEM speakers with after market. They make good contact and allow the new speakers to be removed easily if necessary. I just soldered them to the speaker terminals and snapped the connector to the mating one. I am glad I found these before the install.
