I purchased this trim kit for my 2004 Honda CR-V and the new Joyspring double din stereo I purchased on Amazon. It fits perfectly, but takes a while to put together. Two important assembly tips for you.1. If you don't have a Dremel tool or the like, this will be a challenge to install. There are LOTS of tabs that have to be cut off to make it fit, and without a electric tool to cut them off, it would be VERY challegning. So, if you don't have a Dremel, beware.2. Assemble the entire kit and then screw the radio in. The not-super-clear instructions make it seem like you should install the side pieces first, but when I did this, it kept falling apart, the radio didn't line up properly, etc. So, I put the entire thing together and then screwed the radio in. Works perfectly and saves tons of time.Hope these tips help. The trim kit looks professional and makes the radio look original in the car. Recommend if you are handy!

Exactly what I was looking for. I have a pioneer double din radio in my dc4 integra that has been driving me crazy, the whole unit would rattle and slide out after taking off in first and second gear, all because I was too lazy to purchase this product. The instructions were pretty clear and straight to the point. I’m not sure why some people had bad experience with this one but it legit took me 5 minutes to prep and the install was 30 seconds lol, I used some dykes to cut the plastic and it wasn’t perfect by any means necessary but just enough for the tabs not to be in the way. Highly suggest this product. If you have a 94-01 integra, SP Tuning on YouTube does a really great step by step (video I used) and everything worked as it should.

Great. Had to shave a few screws for my Reciever, too long. Also advised to grind off excess after trimming tabs. Otherwise, works great ðŸ‘

No issues during installation and worked perfectly fine for my application. I paired this kit with a Sony DSX-B700 in a 1999 Honda CR-V and only needed the rectangular trim piece and nothing else. That being the case, it seems a bit overpriced and wasteful to throw away the other pieces. As the other reviewers have stated, the instructions are rather unclear but not completely incomprehensible. Many of the tabs you are required to break off for your specific dash have no letters stamped into the plastic mold, forcing you to rely on VERY small graphics in the manual to ensure you don't snap off the ones you need.If you're installing a double DIN unit into a 1st generation Honda CR-V, I recommend this dash kit.

I've installed radios in quite a few cars, and this is probably the worst dash kit I have ever used. The screws used to assemble the kit are too long, and left marring on sides of the headunit, and also left gaps around the frame. The installation process used none of the original screws for the headunit, instead using snap tabs to secure the stereo into the hole. The kit itself would not fit into the dash with the screws necessary to secure the head unit to the bracket without some force, and then required modification to the brackets to allow proper fitment.the faceplate does not sit properly, and has bends and wobbles where the tabs sit.Since this kit is for so many vehicles, many compromises were made. The instructions were highly abbreviated and contained very little specific information for my installation. The tabs to be removed are very difficult to remove clean and flush.Removal of the radio will be difficult, since it snaps in rather than screws in. I will be searching for another dash kit to replace this one and returning it as soon as possible. The quality, fit and finish, and overall experience have been resoundingly terrible, and I am honestly amazed that the manufacturer released this product to market and considers it sufficient and acceptable.

I purchased this to install a Pioneer AVH-X3500BHS in my 2002 honda crv. Despite it saying it would fit my car it didnt. None of the brackets were needed and the two factory brackets were all that was needed. The faceplate trim was the only part that was salvageable, and that had to be trimmed and grinded manually to get it to fit, and even then its a tad too small. However it is not noticeable to anyone but me. I am sure this item works on some cars, but for a 2002 honda crv it is all but useless unless you want to edit it yourself. Amazon gave me an instant refund and didn't even require me to ship the old one back.

Super easy to install. For my car I just needed the trim plate (the instructions call it the "radio housing"). I didn't need anything else that was included in the sack. You have to Dremel or cut off a bunch of the clips from the trim plate "housing" and leave only the B and H clips for my car. The metra instructions are cool because they have instructions for many different vehicles for which this kit is compatible. If you don't have a Dremel maybe a razor blade will work to remove the clips, but it's pretty hard ABS plastic. Then all you do is remove the OEM dash kit, snap the trim into place in the OEM kit then install your double din. Peep the finished product. If you already know how to remove the factory dash kit then it's super easy. If you don't then find a video on YouTube. Kinda irritating that I basically had to spend $13 for a trim plate. One came with my double din (Dual) but it was too thick to fit this car so I had to pony up the $13 so there wasn't a gap between the stereo and dash kit. Now it looks correct.

My daughters 2006 Honda Civic EX came with the OEM double din with navigation. So I bought the Alpine ILX-W670 double din head unit. I removed the old head unit and installed the Alpine using all the stock dash kit and hardware. The only part missing was the bezel to cover the outer gap. So I bought this kit for $14 and the bezel fit perfectly around the Alpine head unit and completely filled the gap with no trimming or modification at all. So if you install a double din all you need is this kit and you can totally use all the stick parts from the OEM head unit.

Used the kit for a 2002 CRV. The stereo I installed used the factory mounts and installed perfectly. I needed this kit simply to fill the space around the double din head unit. Unfortunately it doesn’t work unless you use the sides and tray parts of the install kit, which don’t actually line up with any factory mount points. Total garbage. I’m going to 3D print my own filler plate. Waste of money

Didn’t came as what I expected...Its made of fragile plastic only... although i used only the trim bezel and used the original holding brackets of my honda crv-2004.
