Direct fit on ripper chassis although it does not come with long enough screws to install it. Luckily I have a hardware kit.(maybe the ripper chassis came with the correct bolts for it as well, I didn't check) Took it out and ran it for a while. It took a few tumbles, still hanging in there. The modes all work, plenty bright for night crawling. My kids love the rainbow lights and flashing red and blues. So far seems like a good purchase.

I got these for my trx4m ripper build and they’re great. The light bar changing colors is so cool. It comes with a button so you can change the colors without a fancy controller. I did get a different set of electronics though because my motor was pulling to much power and now I can change the lights from the controller which is cool

The feature of changing the lighting effect is great. Especially if you use it on an after-market transmitter that has an extra channel for it. Had it for a few weeks and the light bar quit working. This is the second one I purchased. Not sure if something burned out or what happened. I did not get it wet. The yellow glow of the head lights are nice and bright for night running. You have to glue the headlights in place but it's easy. Comes with a splitter to operate from the steering channel but is better to run off an additional channel. I will NOT be purchasing a 3rd one of these.

Build quality is nice but the controllers are bulky. Installation was easy for the headlights but the light bar isn't the greatest fit with the ripper body due to the screws for the light bar sticking out a little more than I would like. The headlights function great with an aftermarket receiver and the modes are great though it's not very bright in the headlight mode. The light bar quickly died but I'm not sure if it was due to the quality of the light bar or an issue with the ESC I was using.

I hooked these up to 3 different rippers and all the same of head lights going out. Just in due time. And k kept them on one color. Never really changed it.
