Color: 36 color Mica Powder Pigments are widely used for producing of unique colorful soap. They create effect of depth, shine and shimmer of various shades. These Powdered Pigments Set do not migrate. They are referred to as fast melting dyes. Soap making kit is easy to use as bath bomb colorant or as soap dye supplies. Mica Powder Pigments using is very thrifty and non-toxic. It is not absorbed by skin and leaves no traces. It keeps its brightness for a long time and doesn’t fade. It is a perfect choice both for beginners and experts in soap boiling. Application: 1)Before melting the base, cut it into small cubes (1-2 cm), so it will melt faster. If you are melting the base in a microwave oven, use a special heat-resistant dish, glass or plastic cups, 3.5 ounces (100 grams) of base melts in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds. Using water bath, the base melts at 158-176 °F. 2)Add Mica Powder Pigments at the rate of 0.002 – 0.007 ounce per 3.5 ounce (100 grams) of soap base, depending on how saturated color you want to get. When you add Powder Pigments to melted soap base, stir thoroughly the mass in order to avoid lumps. For more convenience, it’s also possible to add small amount of glycerin or spirits to Mica Powder Pigments and then add this mixture to liquid base. Then pour the soap into the mold, sprinkling it with alcohol, and repeat this procedure afterwards, as the foundation was poured, this must be done to remove small bubbles and foam. 3)Alcohol is also used when making multi-layer soap. You need to sprinkle the frozen layer before pouring the next one - the layers are better attached to each other and do not break down during the use. 3.5 lbs (1588 grams) of the base freezes in the mold on average in 5 hours.

I just got these powders today, and I haven't used them yet, but I'm pleasantly surprised at the beautiful colors and amount of different colors for the price. I posted photos of all the colors I got in this set. I hope my camera does them justice, because these colors are beautiful and so shiny! They come in envelopes, which could be messy, but it's not a problem for me. There were 3 small scoopers that came with my order, and it all arrived in a paper envelope, minimalist packaging and recyclable.Edit: I have used these powders, and I have made many beautiful things with them! I was a beginner with using mica powder when I got these, and these are great for experimenting with and making small projects. The colors remain true, and the final result is always better than I expect. I'm learning how to mix mica powder with water and rubbing alcohol to create paints. Once sealed with ModPodge or similar product, the color holds up.

I used these colorings in my homemade sugar scrubs and they work great. Tons of colors came in my package, it looks like you don't get much but a little of this goes a long way. Love the colors!

Just got the Mica powders two days early and no mess and no broken spoons in my package. Came in a cardstock type envelope and then in a bubble mailer. Won't be using them for a few days until other supplies arrive.

I bought this as a refill for my colors and I should've read a little more that these are more sheer and not opaque, at least with the black pour I did. The purples/pinks I've had no issues with. I haven't used any other colors yet so this is subject to change. I will say the color range is massive and I would love to play around with each color at some point for key chains or something.I did notice some bags had more than others, but I'm not too bothered, though it is a thing that other people had said in the reviews. I would see that being a massive issue if you used more than a small scoop every time you made something or needed pigment.Other than me not seeing how 'sheer' it is, I'll just had to figure out that problem on my own. Otherwise it's really wonderful and rich.I will say the purple is just so divine when it's curing in resin.

So much better than I anticipated. The packaging isn’t wonderful; it’s plastic zip top bags. However the beautiful pigment of the powder and quantity is well worth overlooking zip tops. As a trial, I used a blue closest the nail color I had on. The colors weren’t exactly the same so I did an ombré effect. Oh My Goodness, not to brag but because of the intensity of the powder and how finely milled it is my nails looked amazing. It gave them such depth like I had not seen on any nails yet. It only takes a little tiny tap on the edge on a brush to ombré 3-4 long nails. I hope you have as much luck as I did.

I got this powder for making bath bombs. Here’s what I can I tell you. First, the little bags are NOT completely filled up with powder. So I don’t feel like I got my money’s worth of the color. Second, I had to use a whole bag to get a vibrant color. Seeing as how there wasn’t a lot of powder, I didn’t like to do this. Third, some colors binded to the oil in the bath bombs, others didn’t. What that means for you, is that some coloring stayed in the tub and on my skin. The only good thing about this product is that there were a lot of colors. But even that was crazy because a lot of the colors looked the exact same.Would I buy this again? No way. Not for bath bombs.

This is a great box with a lot of variety. My 6 year old loves to make things, currently we are making soap. She’s loves putting in the powder are stirring, she has even mixed colors. So yeah the pouches are small, but you don’t need that much. We have made several batches of soap and honestly a little goes a long way. We accidentally added a large amount to one batch and it wasn’t any brighter then when using a small amount. Super neat.
