I’m a professional groomer and use this brush mainly in the tub for deshedding dogs, it also helps work the shampoo/conditioner into the coat. I also use it on yucky doodle and schnauzer beards as well as working out some mats in ears and tails.

This brush was cheap so I did not have high hopes. But it surprised me! I am a groomer and I've found this brush works really well on collies and retrievers and some shepherd coats. It doesn't scratch the skin like many metal bristle brushes do, so the dogs tolerate it better with the plastic bristles. It gets out shedding hair and clumps very well. It's become a staple item for me.

This brush is crap for taking matting out or deshedding dogs. If you want a good brush do not spend your money on this.

This is a great brush to use in the bathtub for dogs and cats! Helps detangle, and remove excessive undercoat easily. I only wish there was se type of nonslip gripping on the handle. I'm a professional growth of 27 years and this is one of those nice little extras that make my job souch easier.Not a fan of using on dry coats.
